In 2007, before the entire country entered the digital age, before every household had on demand video and internet, Floyd and Oscar Sold 2.4M PPVs.
The growth of the market and available audience was showcased when Floyd fought Canelo and sold 2.2 Million. If Floyd could sell 2.2 million against Canelo, what do you think he would do against his only Rival in terms of drawing power, resume and threat.
This is the fight the entire world without any help from promoters has hyped for the last half decade. Everyone would be talking about this fight, there would be advertisements and events everywhere. It would be called the fight of the century and for a couple months, everybody in the world would become a temporary bandwagon boxing fan. Half would back Pacquiao, Half would back Mayweather, and both sides would go at each other relentlessly until the night of the fight and generate even more buzz and hype in the process.
Anyone who's ever been interested in watching any fight, any combat sport would buy this PPV.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it broke 3 mil, and possibly more.
**** Edit: I'm speaking in future tense, but truthfully this fight isnt as big as it was a couple years ago. It would still sell but not the situation I described above.Last edited by DARKSEID; 05-15-2014, 05:04 AM.

its true that the 40 million offer was a well-disguised duck.
floyd doesnt deserve a higher ppv share - his last few fights are proof, that the ppv on his events is largely attributable to stacked undercards and mexican holidays.
floyd might be getting 70 million, but does that really mean anything when 50 million of that comes from himself?

Problem solved, right?!?!?! why cant pac supporters comment on this... A rematch would be pretty much garanteed as FMJ is a proud dude. It's a gamble but isnt it a gamble worth taking, if you think you're the better fighter?

The only people that think the $40m 'offer' wasnt ridiculous are floydspastics. Everyone else can see it for what it was.

I dont know if it was confirmed that Pacman gave him this counter offer through the phone.
Still it doesnt come down to pure ducking of FMJ, comes down to money. I hope Pacman negotiates and hears what the other side have to offer at the present or future, because right now we keep looking at the past. One thing tho' i also think this offer wouldn't be without Arum taking a %. I do believe FMJ genuinely has beef with Arum and he probably doesnt wanna make Arum rich. All in all from FMJ's point of view i can understand that he doesnt want it under these circumstances... FMJ isnt gonna co-promote with Arum, i dont see that happening ever!!!
Hardheaded as i am i would say take less the first time and compensate in the rematch!!!
Ones again tho' props for the vid it had a little bit of ETHER in it. a good one ^^

It just seems as though people would like Manny to make 3-4 times his highest payday (26 million I believe), and Floyd receive around the same amount as his highest payday (which is around 80 million I believe).
