Mayweather already said "I feel I dominated the fight", and Mayweather Sr. went from being "Okay" with a rematch to "Maidana don't deserve nothing". These don't sound like fighting words to me, odds of a rematch happening at this point are slim to none.

Floyd Mayweather Sr says he’s not certain that his son will fight on, but says he’d be OK with a rematch with Marcos Maidana.

The fight won't happen the glove issue will kill the fight. After Madaina beating Floyd up I'm sure he can make 1.5 million or more fighting anyone. Why would somebody go through such a headache to make 1.5 while the other guy takes the lions share. If they paid wack job Broner 2 million than why should Madaina make less ?

Maidana didn't get ppv money and neither did Floyd on this fight if the reported #s are accurate or close to accurate....

So the cheater named Floyd. Who should he fight? Oh, you were talking about Maidana.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to those times where Floyd SUCKER PUNCHED Mosley, Gatti or when Floyd comes in with a high elbow to neck ratio, or when Floyd refused a KO artist to wear punchers gloves.

wouldn't be surprising if Floyd refused to do it
but most likely he will, interest will be high after a tough fight
there's nothing else Floyd can do that really matters now
Garcia lost his Lucas win luster by losing to Herrera
and Floyd sure as hell isn't gonna fight again at JMW

No doubt, if there's a rematch, they are going to get the gloves settled months before the fight and probably have it in the contract.

If he passes on Maidana in September, he'll say that his hand is injured still and wait until November to fight Amir Khan. But, I still feel that Marcos Maidana will get the rematch as it's the only real lucrative offer on the table considering most boxing fans don't consider Khan worthy.

Pacquiao should hold-out on any contract extension after Pacquiao/Marquez 5. You do Mayweather/Maidana II and May 2015 has a real chance of finally getting Mayweather/Pacquiao to happen. I think their perspective rematches could help build the momentum again for the big showdown.

If the PPV buys are indeed around 850K I doubt Maidana gets anything, hell I doubt even Mayweather gets any PPV upside from 850K buys. Its more than likely that his guaranteed purse of 1.5M is all Maidana will get.

Maidana was not only done dirty by the whole glove controversy but he was done dirty in the pocket books as well. Maidana making 1.5M fighting in the main event while Broner gets paid 1.25M for fighting Carlos Molina is a travesty.
