I knew the ratings would be good when Teddy Atlas was trending worldwide, I've never seen that happen before unless he's talking about a Floyd or Pac fight after a big event on ESPN.

I'm glad it did well . Espn paid for a good fight and it's nice that it was supported. Hopefully they will continue to get better fights now ..

I think having it on a Saturday evening helped. That's becoming known as the day and time for boxing among casual fans.
ESPN should do this more often. Competitive fights with a world championship on the line are bound to draw curious eyes, as long as they are advertised properly ahead of time.

New Orleans had a 4.1 market share for the fight, it figures as Louisiana has a lot of fight fans. The good ratings for last Saturday will help bring more big fights to ESPN and they won't have to worry about Golden Boy/Top Rank or the HBO/Showtime problems, all positives for the fans.
