This fight isn't getting the attention it deserves. Marquez is at a crossroads in his career and will soon be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, a loss to Alvarado will throw a monkey wrench in any future plans with Bradley or Pacquiao. Don't be surprised if he announces retirement in the ring following a loss to Alvarado.

I can't see Alvarado winning. Yes he's strong and younger, can give Marquez much trouble if he catch him, but I'll go with Marquez by decision.Comment

Marquez is too good to lose to somebody like Alvarado even at this point in his career. Is this PPV?Comment

While we await @MileHighMike303, @BobArum says tickets to #MarquezAlvarado have passed the 10,000 mark & will probably reach 12,000.

Even though Alvarado is the younger man, I can't really envision him beating JMM. Not even on his worst night. JMM is a boxer/counter punching specialist who excels when fighting an offensive opponent. Mike is a slugger.
Juan knows his fighting window is closing rapidly and needs one more big win (by big I mean a KO/TKO victory) for at least one more big payday. I think he gets it here. At best, it will be a stoppage in favor of JMM at worst, a UD. If Alvarado makes it close or somehow wins the fight it would be because Marquez got old (ring old). Not making excuses for Juan though. My only gripe about JMM is that he doesn't bring the fight to some of his past opponents and lets them dictate the tempo of the fight. Either way it will be entertaining.Comment
