Man mile "coke head" Mike isn't going to be competitive in this fight, the guy has been in four straight wars, compounded by the fact that he's a hardcore drug abuser.I don't see him coming back from that beat down Ruslan gave him,he literally made him say uncle.

Marquez has been in plenty of boring fights,Marquez vs Bradley was boring,Marquez vs John,Norwood, even Marquez vs Salido were all boring fights.

Marquez might have opted for the lesser opponent but this fight will end up being a very tough / rugged fight. Alvarado might be robotic and flawed BUT if he comes to this fight to pressure and attack, it will be a bloody affair for both. Might be similar to Marquez-Katsidis.

Marquez SHOULD win but he'll be surprised, and so will many, at how much tougher it will be. This is a fight of circumstances, a lot of intangibles and factors will come into play outside of talent / skill.

Alvarado can drop Marquez if he lands flush, I'm tellin ya the weight difference will really show especially since Alvarado doesn't have to cut down to 140.

I just think by the second half Marquez will of figured out Alvarado and punch him into submission with combinations. If Marquez learned anything from the Provodnikov fight is its to pivot and throw the left hooks, which Marquez can do well in combinations.

Damn Marquez sounds confident without the random blood testing...I'm assuming Memo has fixed him up some incredible "piss shakes"...Marquez is going to transform into Juan Manuel PEDinimita Hulkquez!

Besides losing two close fights to Pacquiao...it should have been a 3rd one also very clearly if a judge new simple addition..and winning landing two punches in a fight he looked like the Incredible Hulk....Marquez's career has been kind of lackluster...this fight is the perfect example...fighting a guy coming off a knock out loss with no title at stake...

I'm actually going for Alvarado now because I want to see Arum try to sell an Alvarado-Pacquiao fight with a straight face especially after he said Broner was mediocre...

Pac v. Alavarado in Macau does less than Rios ppv wise...

Alvarado win = better chance Pacquiao doesn't resign with Top Rank js.

This is going to be a good fight, Alverado is probably the hardest puncher Marquez has faced at 140+, and Alverado caries his power very well through out the fight.

Good fight coming off Bradley loss.

This fight is Juan Diaz and to an extent Casamayor after the second Pacquiao fight. And Katsidis after Mayweather. After a loss to an "elite" foe. JMM has always stepped down, and shown that he's a class or two above good, but not special fighters. But this one has a different feel to me. He looked old before icing Pac and even older losing to Bradley. Hate to say it. But Saturday night may be the night age bites him in the ass and he loses to a guy he'd outclass in his prime.

50-50 fight. Both cannon fodder for Pacquiao at this stage.
