Wlad was never in the WBC rankings as Vitali had the title, Wilder worked his way up and earned his position. So he logically is the next in line. Is Wlad even ranked by the WBC now? NO!!! Sure he is the unified champion but he never showed intrest in becoming undisputed with the WBC before(i know he didnt want to fight his bother) and that is fine but he has no leg to stand on to jump over fighters who are ranked by the WBC

Why should Wlad get to leap frog Wilder? Wilder has been the mandatory

I don't mind either way, to be honest. I don't think Wilder is ready for that level of competition yet though, so Wlad jumping ahead of the queue might do Deontay a favour.
Imagine Klitschko unifying, Wilder racking up some wins against tougher opposition and then have the two face off. Wilder would be more experienced at that point so would be in with a better chance of winning, and if Klitschko wins then he'll have beaten a more proven opponent.

Are you kidding Larry? he is the REAL champion he should have first crack far above anyone for just that reason alone. Wilder has ko'd like 29 bums an old chinny Harrison and his buddy took a dive for him.

Shawn Porter took on Malignaggi before Kell Brook, granted by the IBF on condition that the winner must face the mandatory challenger (getting the fight signed in 90 days I believe)
