So imagine If it did 850k only. That's a far cry for what they expected. They lost big time.
But fraudster didn't. He always wins even with the judges in Vegas
Pac-Bradley II PPV #'s are being called disappointing and low, I made a post saying those numbers are actually excellent.
That is the difference between me and you, you are all caught up in the Showtime vs HBO, GBP vs TR bs, I have my provocative posts at times, but can tone it down and speak with sense when need be.
I didn't expect either Pac-Bradley II and Mayweather-Maidana to top 1Mill so I am not surprised at all.

This PPV had to go up against the GSW vs LAC game 7. Most of the people in California watched that instead of buying the fight.
Add in the fact that Floyd was a 18-1 favorite and there was no TV press and of course it bombed.
SHO will drop GBP and Floyd just like HBO did when they realized they lose more money than they make

Honestly,, not sure if the source is credible or not...
But after floyd's 2 dominant but boring fights last year, I can see the general public not getting to excited about the maidana fight, especially since only hardcore fans know who maidana is...
And with ESPN pre-fight calling maidana a no hoper, didnt help sell the fight...

Talk about low numbers..

That would be a bit low but that number would probably go up as most first numbers are low. It isn't surprising people mistakenly weren't that into the fight before hand.
I would say the rematch would do better no matter where this number ends up, so in the final analysis of this fight that rematch number will play a huge role because if the second fight does 1.5ish, what is the difference between each fight doing 1.2 or one fight doing 900k and the other doing 1.5 million both are 2.4 million buys in the end.

The Boycott worked.

The only issue i have with threads like this is
1-Manny fans who claim ppv's do not matter when Mannys do low numbers run in and try to be accountants and mock Floyd
2-Floyd fans who laugh when Manny is rumored to do similar numbers get defensive when Floyd is rumored to to similar numbers
This forum has gone to **** and it seems only the long time posters are getting banned while the trolls troll on
