People are *****ing like Deontay Wilder has done anything to earn a title shot in the first place.

I'm a fan of Wilder and think he is needed for the sport but let's be serious. Charlie Zelenoff is probably one of his best wins. The only reason he is in this position in the first place is because he has the machine behind him. Why is it that Perez and Jennings had to fight each other while Wilder gets a clear path to the title?

If anything, Wilder should replace Perez and fight Jennings next.

Lets talk real here, after last night Stiverne has proven to clearly be the second rated heavyweight in the world. I don't think anyone aside from Haye, Wlad and Wilder could challenge the guy for a 12 round fight. His short hooks and looping right hand were quick, precise and very powerful. He's got the goods and I was skeptical before the rematch. If he flat out rushed Wladimir, he could have a good chance at an upset.

GTFOH, some things are bigger and more important than ya job. I hope he comes back and Sam Peter's Stiverne to win back the title one more time.
Wow, I got to agree with you on this post. Good job.

Wlad vs Stiverne in Germany is a 50k stadium and probably $2-3m purse for Stiverne. What is Wilder going to make him? He earned $250k last night, very poor money by compare to K2. For this reason I think Wlad Stiverne is next.

We've all seen Wilders technique and skill and its **** so the only thig left to fear is his power and this is the hw division ppl know guys can hit. Im sorry but an old Shannon Briggs would destroy everyone on Deontays resume. Briggs always looks terrific against weak opposition and mediocore opposition that ******ly come forward (liakhovich for example who is better than anyone deontay has evey fought).

My point is that deontay is massively overhyped (i like the guy but who in the hell has he fought), and people better not say bermane is ducking a hype job trust me any pro heavyweight with a skill set like Bermane is going to have 0 fear of Deontay all the guy has is power and great physical tools.
I agree, I don't think the guy is scared of anyone. In fact, to face down Arreola the way he was looking last night and to win that way, he's got a lot of balls and heart. I thought he was hurt a few times and he still carried his power and will to win by Ko into that 6th round. I'm very impressed.

That said, I wish Vitali had stayed a little longer and fought him since it seems now that it would have been a decent fight.

can't argue here except for wilder being in there but good post! anyone with an arsenal & power like stiverne can put a guy on his back if he lands flush. he is methodical in his approach but he is like a snake in the grass waiting to strike. he is a very patient fighter. I picked arreola to blow him out in 1 round the first fight & called for a 7th round stoppage in the 2nd fight. I couldn't have been more wrong.

I know Bermane can beat Wilder but he sits back and covers up and Wilder has shown he has the power to knock out guys through the guard. That's why I put that in there. Wilder is unproven, but his power is in Wladimir's league.

The Heavyweight division is on life support. I don't even watch it anymore. All sloppy fighters who hardly train. Wlad is light years beyond any of them even at his age now. Wilder is the only fighter who seems to have some potential. Wlad v. Stiverne and Wilder should face the best name he can find... Fury/Chisora winner or someone I couldn't even tell you...and then the winners should meet. That's the only way to bring about any interest in the division.

I think King is just running his mouth now that he has a Heavyweight Champ he's not going to risk losing it in his first Fight with Klitschko. How long has it been since King has had a Champion ? I think King will choose the easier road and that's Wilder.
