Fair point that is what he said, but it was based on the distribution of padding which was funny. Not because the gloves didn't have the right amount of padding like everyone is claiming.

The red ones were good for him only after he got caught trying to use the blue ones. But the commission approved the red ones then obviously they weren't anything like the blue ones they considered "unfit for competition". I'm just wondering why was Team Maidana fine with wearing the unfit blue gloves initially?

What do you think Chino was over with Everlast helping them remove padding from the glove? They have an interview on Youtube with the guy from Everlast that makes the MX gloves and he said there is no difference in the padding with the blue and red ones. The only difference is they used a different color for Chino. He also said that they compared the red approved gloves and the questionable blue ones and there was no difference at all. If there was then why would Mayweather have a problem with the red ones.

Here is the thing the **** is that Fighters are Fighters and 99% of fighters don't have a problem with punchers gloves, but Mayweather is special. There have been many championship fights with the exact gloves. The whole padding issue is bull****, all punchers gloves are the same way. If you ever tried on a pair of reyes gloves you'll notice the difference. They are fighters gloves meant to be worn by a puncher and honestly they usually give the best performances. Think of Marquez VS pacquiao fights, mosley vs margarito, barrera vs morales, corrales vs castillo.

I don't think its right to consider a fighter TBE when he can't find like other fighters that earn fight of the year with their courage and performances. If 99% of fighters don't mind fighting with them, then that 1% shouldn't be looked at the same way they are.

Honestly I don't think they "tried" anything. The gloves were probably made wrong or had some default that caused the issue with the padding. To automatically assume that team Maidana, Everlast, or whoever else tried to cheat with out any shred or evidence is a little ******.

Mayweather was probably going to throw a fit over any glove they brought because he clearly didn't want Chino using punchers gloves.

I'm not saying they tried to cheat or did cheat but why didn't any of them feel or notice those gloves were faulty? They were happy to go Into the fight with those gloves. I think Floyd should have let him use the red gloves.

They were fit for competition, liek richard scheaffer said by the time you see the footage and the comission was called to reinspect them of like 20 people put them on felt the up, squeeze them so the glove was basically broken in already.
