Wilder is obviously concerned about this step up in opposition, and he's trying to win the fight in the press conferences before they swap punches . But once he gets in the ring and realizes he has a height and reach advantage, the butterflies will go way. Stivern's only real shot is to land a lucky bomb like he's done against Arreola and Austin. I do think Stiverne gets by the 4th round easily though. I just think Wilder has too much size.

I think Wilder's best bet would be to use his length to both frustrate Stiverne and to create openings for himself, but I haven't seen anything from Wilder to suggest he is going to do anything but be off balance as he looks for one big punch.

Not sure how strong Wilder's chin is, but I see Stiverne taking this one.

originally I picked Stiverne but I just don't like the way Stiverne posts up against the ropes. I think Wilder gets him clean and scores a highlight KO that gets fans interested. IMO if Wilder wins today, Haymon will put him on NBC 3 times this year and then set up a PPV vs Wlad in 2016.

Wilder winning would be great for boxing..

But Weeks is a good ref so it's unlikely to happen.

I'd be more concerned if the ref was some jackass like Jack Reiss or Lawrence Cole.

I agree and I'm pretty sure Stiverne will look to counter all night on or off the ropes.. If he's genuinely hurt and can't do it that's another story.

Well, according to Wilder, his plan if he wins is to face his mandatory Jennings and then Fury...no mention of Wlad...so now I want Stiverne to win for sure, even if Don King's management may be unpredictable.
