cotto has a good chance of beating martinez...sergio's chin is wide open and anything can happen...if cotto get that chin, it would be over...the problem is martinez' speed...

When I was coming up and i had to prove myself, i didn't went asking what their weight was...wtf!!! we just fought...some of them were bigger other much bigger, other smaller....and you think these mfks that do this for a leaving cares about this weight bs if the $$$ is rt?!!! Look Pacquiao and Mayweather are or were GREAT fighters, but they both have taken advantages of their positions going into fights and thats a fact. Not saying they wouldn't win those fights anyways cause they are that good but the DID had advantages.

Cotto is my favorite fighter, I just like his attitude of fighting all comers, i just like his style even in his losses he sold them high and well I'm a Rican...

Cotto never being most gifted, we know that...he's not the faster, nor the strongest or the slickest, he's just a FIGHTER and I appreciate that. He goes there and try to compete w/ the best at their best and I appreciate that the most.

I see the fight 60-40 in favor of Martinez, but I wont be surprise if Cotto goes in and do his thing, I hope so.

Cotto got one really good jab in on that fight and that was based on time not speed my friend. I know you are a devoted Cotto fan, I rocked with Cotto since the NY days when he was building up his fan base out here full time. If you honestly believe in heart that Cotto's fastest speed is equal of Floyd or even Zab then who am I to tell you otherwise but I completely and utterly disagree. Dude Chavez and Cotto now have the same power? A guy that walks around north of 185 has the same power as a guy who walks around at 165 on average now? Martinez hits harder than every opponent cotto has ever faced and Cotto has been stopped..it doesn't take rocket science bro.

I really do not understand why somebody like you hates Cotto so much. Cotto vs Trout could have been a draw or a win by at least one point in favour of Cotto and to be honest Cotto looked slow and overtrained as hell. Since Pacquiao has lost to Bradley and to Marquez his power has vanished. Never could hurt Brandon Rios despite the fact that Manny was landing everything on Rios. These losses took something away from Pacquiao. But Cotto had much tougher losses against cheater and everything but he still has some power left. Martinez is a tough fight for Cotto thats for sure at least Cotto takes any challenge. It is not a long time ago when Martinez called out Pacquiao.

Cotto struggled with Trout and Martinez is faster, more awkward, and hits MUCH harder than Trout, that's why I think Cotto is going to get stopped. Why bring up Marquez and Bradley? Neither guy has fought Cotto OR Martinez, so they have nothing to do with this thread. I brought up Manny because he fights similar to Martinez. As for Manny's decline in power that you keep screaming about, lol, has it ever occured to you that Manny is turning 36 years old, he isn't 29 anymore, of course he isn't as strong as he was 5 years ago in 2009.

I think the only advantage cotto has in this fight is that Martinez is getting close to 40 years old and his body may break down half way in the fight. But I'm telling you right now if Martinezs knees hold up then there is no way in hell cotto beats him.

The place will be wilder than Trinidad - Joppy if Cotto somehow hurts and stops Martinez. I don't see it happening though, but I can hope it does.

The thing is will Cotto get credit? I feel like most are saying "If Martinez is completely done Cotto has a chance" which seems unfair. I feel like there are too many extremes in this fight.

It's either "Cotto is going to get killed" or "If Martinez is shot Cotto can win" which is kinda lame IMO since neither would get credit.
