I see a ruff fight for Cotto even though he's one of my favorite boxers. Only way he wins is if Martinez body doesn't hold out. Wish both of them were 5 years younger. I'd still pick Martinez but a good fight.

Cotto struggled with Trout and Martinez is faster, more awkward, and hits MUCH harder than Trout, that's why I think Cotto is going to get stopped. Why bring up Marquez and Bradley? Neither guy has fought Cotto OR Martinez, so they have nothing to do with this thread. I brought up Manny because he fights similar to Martinez. As for Manny's decline in power that you keep screaming about, lol, has it ever occured to you that Manny is turning 36 years old, he isn't 29 anymore, of course he isn't as strong as he was 5 years ago in 2009.

I think the only advantage cotto has in this fight is that Martinez is getting close to 40 years old and his body may break down half way in the fight. But I'm telling you right now if Martinezs knees hold up then there is no way in hell cotto beats him.

The place will be wilder than Trinidad - Joppy if Cotto somehow hurts and stops Martinez. I don't see it happening though, but I can hope it does.

The thing is will Cotto get credit? I feel like most are saying "If Martinez is completely done Cotto has a chance" which seems unfair. I feel like there are too many extremes in this fight.

It's either "Cotto is going to get killed" or "If Martinez is shot Cotto can win" which is kinda lame IMO since neither would get credit.

PR boxing is in the toilet. Puerto Rico really doesn't have any other stars. Cotto is basically it. so people cling to him because he's it.

I'm a fan of Cottos, but IMO this is bad matchmaking...I don't see Cotto winning unless Sergio has a bad break with his knee or something. Even then I don't think he would KO Martinez.
