True, but I think cotto can get a decision straight up if he has the same success as Murray and serg is old..
If cotto can keep the high tight guard to block the straight leads from serg, use the double and triple jab to face and body to break serg's rhythm, slow his speed and back him up, cotto has a good chance to pull the win out fair and square.. He will have to fight a perfect fight but not out of the realm of possibility for him to beat an aging, injury prone, serg off over a year long layoff...

Unless Sergio ages overnight (well not overnight, but you get the idea), I just can't see a smaller, weaker, beat up Cotto doing much with him. Maybe I'll be surprised. Cotto has had too many wars. Not that Martinez hasn't, but he's still faster, hits harder, gets outta harms way better. Too many plus factors for him and not enough for Miguel. I don't even see him lasting 12.

Well, I guess it comes down to how much Sergio has left in the tank. IMO he has enough to handle Cotto.

Exactly,,, that's how I feel... It all comes down to serg... Cotto could come in at peak form, and serg would still blast him out.. If serg is good he wins easily, if he is old the he may still win but cotto will be a live dog and possible winner...

If both would be the same size, it would be an EASY win for Cotto. But with the size disadavantage it is 50:50. Sergio is old and past his prime. Cotto is much closer to his prime than Martinez.

I really do not understand why somebody like you hates Cotto so much. Cotto vs Trout could have been a draw or a win by at least one point in favour of Cotto and to be honest Cotto looked slow and overtrained as hell. Since Pacquiao has lost to Bradley and to Marquez his power has vanished. Never could hurt Brandon Rios despite the fact that Manny was landing everything on Rios. These losses took something away from Pacquiao. But Cotto had much tougher losses against cheater and everything but he still has some power left. Martinez is a tough fight for Cotto thats for sure at least Cotto takes any challenge. It is not a long time ago when Martinez called out Pacquiao.
