No. I was a fan up until it was discovered he tried to load his gloves.

He was an exciting fighter with an insane workrate, chin and heart. Loved the fights with Diaz, Cintron (especially the rematch), Williams, and Cotto.

Then after plaster-gate.....ugh. What a disgrace. Can't believe he still had fans after that.

He was accused of loading his wraps but I think he was innocent, because there was no actual plaster in those wraps, just two very common elements.

I think his head was in the wrong place after brotha Naz probably went off on some kind of exaggerated rambling accusing him of loading his wraps before the fight with Mosley..

Now I've done some research on Mosley who i've found out is a convicted juicer, and have heard that there was no testing for their fight Mosley definitely showed crazy stamina in this fight against Margarito.

So poor Margarito had to go through the mental and physical anguish of being slandered by brotha ****m Richardson, and EPOsley

The Cotto stans and Floyd minions couldn't care less and have as far as I can see perpetuated the tale that Margarito was a cheater because this man struck fear into them, poor Cotto and his fans were crying and sobbing after that demolition job, and Floyd groupies were terrified of the man.

I saw Margarito's fight with Martinez too dude was a beast, didn't stop punching all that plaster talk was BS I wish I watched boxing during his time he struck fear into the Floyd groupies scared the living daylights out of them he still haunts Cottards and Floydiots to this day.
Watch his fights after get caught cheating:
        MOSLEY L (KO)
R.GARCIA W (decision,ANTONIO MARGARITO before the scandal would have ****d that bum)
MANNY L (decision,MANNY destroyed his face)
COTTO L (exactly the replay of the first fight but without all power behind MARGARITO's punches)
ANTONIO MARGARITO cheated for years IMO,if he was ready to cheat vs a old MOSLEY imagine the fight before vs a young, strong, undeafeted COTTO what he should have done to win;HE WAS ASKING/WAITING FOR A MEGA FIGHT LIKE THAT FOR YEARS!!!
His reign as world welterweight champion was a scary reign, also FLOYD didn't sign to fight him and broke with ARUM exactly at that time;if you watch the ear of LUJIAN you have to admit that you have never seen a ear destroyed like that.
What we can't deny is that MARGARITO is a warrior with a huge heart and iron jaw but he is not the terrific hard hitter we thought for years.
        My opinion!!!

Wasn't that the time that Floyd already had signed to fight Judah which was the champ at 147 at the time and then he lost to Baldomir. Floyd went ahead and fought Baldo for the same money. We are re-writing history hear

no. that was when arum raised the price to 8 million dollars to fight marg. this was 7 million but instead he fought sharmba mitchell for 4, then judah for 5. money mayweather folks.

floyd fans try to rewrite history and say floyd didn't duck margarito when he clearly did. his own promoter at the time said he didn't want any part of margarito, offered him insane money, and it was reported on a reputable site. what more do you want?

actually he was coming off a win over some random guy but it was still a joke fight. floyd took the 4 million and the sure win instead of the 7 mill to fight marg. he's a business man after all.

How is getting caught, found guilty due to scientific prove and being punished for what he did is "blown widely out of proportion"? I guess people only see what they want to see!

Wait a cottonpickin second Dayum!! There was no logic to fighting Margarito back then....baldo was an easy win and Judah was considered a harder fight.

Margarito fans have this way of exxagerating his ability...always had, dressed gloves or not. The fact is that Margarito was tough but always beatable. The first Cotto fight would have been a wash if Cotto had clinched instead of insisting to fight it out every clash with Margarito.

And speakin' of Cotto WHY SUCH HATE FOR THE GUY!!!??? I mean he killed himself that first fight by trying to beat Margo without clinching.... Cotto obviously felt that Margo had cheated...were you the one's getting hit with his punches?

I won't make an issue of the gloves BUT it should be said that there are some differences between the juicers, the enhancers and doctering gloves. It has long been a principle of boxing that the hands are the final system of delivery...hence the ridiculous legal assertions like registering the hands, the care with which the hands are dealt with, etc. The hands are the weapon that first contacts the opponent.....It is a bog deal to doctor the hands because of this fact. The greatest fighter in the world cannot box a round if his hands are not prepared to do so.

There are documented incidents of hand doctering that have caused horrible results....So there is a difference between doctering the nebulous construct of the body versus doctering the hands.

Think of it this way: if we are about to have a knife fight would you rather be juiced and ready to go 15 rounds, or would you prefer to be given a longer, sharper better knife?

                    Give it up.

There are so many great latino fighters, from atgs to current fighters names like.

Julio Chavez Sr, Chavez Jr, Canelo Alvarez, De La Hoya, Erik Morales, Juan Marquez, Miguel Cotto, Marco Antonio and so many more...

Yet you guys stay trying to defend Antonio Plaster Margarito, the dude was caught cheating...period.

He was not a A class fighter, will not be inducted into any Hall Of Fames, because to be real, his resume wasn't all that pretty, it was average to be real.

Find some real Mexican fighters to rally behind.
Margarito could have been cheating since his first fight for all we know, and dude still had 8+ losses early.
