Honestly. You're a Floyd guy from way back.

Floyd is the more established guy. Any close competitive round is gonna swing his way for most people.

Doesn't mean there won't be justified dissenters though. For me... Maidana won the FIGHT part.. But as for the boxing match, debatable. Lots of close rounds for any objective person. Anyone saying it's an easy fight to score ain't keeping it real.

Again this video and ones like it discount shots that land behind the guard and through the guard.

That can explain a 117-111 card but its not the reason why he won the fight.

And I don't know what to make of winning the "Fight" part. Because in a fight, I can head butt, knee, hit low, hit behind the head and act like a total savage.

But this is a boxing match where much of the scoring criteria is CLEAN, effective punching. The word "clean" is in the rule book.

That video is ******ed, both guys landed more than shown in the video (I can tell just by rewatching the round that Maidana landed a lot more punches around Mayweather's guard) and if those are Mayweather's best punches in the round, he definitely didn't win it. Half the punches Mayweather landed in the video either didn't land hard or are grazing punches. lol.

This isn't amateur boxing either, where a grazing jab counts the same as a left hook to the liver or a right hook to the head. Maidana was also clearly dictating the pace of the round forcing Mayweather on the ropes, lowering his output and making him fight his fight.

Maidana didn't win the second round, not really in the mood to educate someone, even streaming it I clearly saw Mayweather win it. He even ended the round with a straight right hand that the uploader didn't count. Maidana didn't do much of anything to warrant him winning the second round or even the 12th.

Mayweather didn't dictate the pace of the fight, he hardly threw a punch all round, yeah he landed two half decent right hands, but that doesn't win you the rounds. Maidana landed the harder shots with hooks to the head and liver (watch the fight in slow motion and you'll see Maidana was contantly getting around Mayweather's guard), and forced Mayweather to fight his fight. Maidana won the round, that's my opinion. If you disagree then good for you.

The fight part is the hurt part. I am wholly convinced May was hurt more than Maidana in that fight. And not from fouls, from punches. The fouls were designed to fluster May.

With that as context, it's hard for me to count one May punch as = to one Maidana punch. May had impressive things he did in the fight, I like how he takes a punch for one. I guess that and his established ness is what makes people put Chino and May on an even playing field when it comes to counting shots landed. To me Maidana was undoubtedly the harder puncher of the two.

Clean is in there but so is effective. I'd say the most damaging punches are the most effective ones. Anyone been in the ring knows a punch can hit you right through your guard, and behind it, even if it seems to the fanboys and laymen as if the punches are being blocked.

No he didn't, on top of that your whole argument dies with the fact that Maidana was visibly effected by the jabs to the mid section. That equates to far more than not even having the proper positioning to get full leverage on those body punches, something Castillo did successfully and Miguel Cotto in spots. Not even a close round...

Visibly affected by tapping stretched out jabs? lol.

Maidana's body punches didn't have leverage? He looked like he was working the heavybag in there.

It wasn't even a close round? Okay, I know where your mind is. I'm arguing done with you. You must have thought Floyd pitched a shutout.
