It's not about him managing his money or not being fiscally responsible. It's on the principality, he allows himself to get screwed over and smile about it. He accepts his position to be dominated by another man, let another man dictate what he should do and speak for him as though he is not a man himself.

Couldn't had broke it down any better. Many people do not understand how Cotto left Top Rank and works with both aisles as a free agent and is the third highest PPV star alone. He's able to dictate the terms to Martinez and he explains how he learned from Mayweather and De La Hoya about what it means to be the A-side.
