AccountingScene, that's funny. One thread on the front page about PPV numbers (well 2 now since you decided to make a thread) and apparently it's all that's being talked about. Does this thread have anything to do with Pac-Bradley numbers being underwhelming?
I'm fairly confident if Dan Rafael wrote that Pac-Bradley II did 2M PPV buys this board would be filled with threads about how big a draw Pac is.
It's all about perspective and I actually bought the Pac-Bradley fight. Too bad more people didn't buy it, they missed a great fight.Comment

unfortunately, fights like that are going to become too expensive for regular showtime or HBO in the future. the networks have priced themselves out of these fights, and they're gun-shy after alexander - bradley was such a crappy fight.
golovkin and ward will have to be PPV, for example. ward's @ a 2 million dollar payday already, and HBO can't shell out infinite money for one fight on a championship boxing card.Comment

The people who spend most of their time talking about these kinds of things do so out of necessity. Much easier than exposing their lack of actual comprehension for the tactical, scientific and forensic elements of the artform.Comment
