Ask for pillow gloves in contract = Warrior

Ask for them without contract = Pu$$y

    Makes no sense to me

Again, the gloves were negotiated in the contract MONTHS before the Pac/Morales fight, not the day before the fight.
Yea it was in the contract but after the fight roach and manny made excuses about the gloves. If they had a choice they wouldn't have worn them. Aka morales made him wear them.

Just like in every Floyd/Castillo thread all you see is "compubox don't mean shyt, it's just a couple guys pushing buttons" and then the day after the Maidana/Floyd fight all you saw was "just look at the Sho Stats, Maidana wasn't hitting nothing but air"

Robert Garcia doesn't seem to think Maidana had a choice.

They didn't think it was worth it ..... BUT if they thought that they could beat Floyd, I would have taken that risk though.
What is this black ball talk. You think Richard is gonna keep him in Argentina fighting scrubs if he didn't wear the black gloves? Lol that's rediculous

Difference between winning and losing is razor thin in any sport, so yes gloves do make a difference. It will never be known, say Maidana hurt, or dropped floyd?

If it aint gloves its the promoters, the tv networks, the venue, Corona or Tecate...... the list just keeps growing

Actually it was the promoter that agreed to the gloves and Manny's team never knew that it was in the contract until it was too late. It was a tricked into the contract.

The saddest part about the March 19 fight, however, is the controversy that has taken place over a pair of boxing gloves, and the potential lawsuit that Pacquiao will file against his promoter, Murad Muhammad.

Finkel and Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach are irate about Muhammad’s decision to allow the fighters to use Winning gloves, which are favored by Morales. Pacquiao prefers to wear Reyes gloves, which have less padding. Roach said his fighter was never consulted about the gloves before the contract was signed.

“There’s no place in the promoter’s contract for him to decide which gloves (a fighter) wears.

“Manny is a puncher. That’s his big advantage. Reyes are puncher’s gloves. He lost on all three cards 115-113. Don’t you think if he would have used his (normal) gloves, he could have won one more round? If he’d have won one more round it’s a draw.
