Morales didn't let PAC wear Reyes in their first fight

Pacman not wearing those gloves was written into the contracts and in future fights, Morales allowed Pacquiao wear the gloves he wanted.

What Mayweather did, is on fight day, mere hours before the fight, refuse Maidana his gloves, even though both pairs, yes there were two pairs, were approved by the commission who said there was nothing wrong with the gloves what so ever. Mayweather said "wear the gloves I give you or call the fight off" he and his team then proceeded to pay off Maidana and his team so they could get their way.

These are two vastly different scenarios.

So basically you can't hold the glove thing against Mayweather in the 2nd fight?
Because it is in the contract this time right?

Basically people aren't complaining because of the glove demand, they're complaining about when it was demanded. Which is silly but not surprising.

I don't care about this time, in a previous thread I actually called Maidana out for selling himself short with all these demands.

Mayweather would not have an opponent for September if Maidana had simply walked away from the contract and said "I want my gloves". He didn't and we have what we have.

even with the contract morales was still criticized when he made pac wear winning gloves. roach even made a big deal out of it at the post fight presscon.

he would've been more criticized if he pulled out a last minute bittch move to change pac's gloves and even more if he demanded the same thing in the rematch.


the simple point here is, floyd deserves whatever flak he is getting right now for this gloves issue and that's indefensible...only ****** fanboys will try to defend that.

Mayweather enforced something that wasnt on contract.

Maidana shouldn't have fought then if it was that big of a deal. And, he shouldn't have taken the rematch if he is going to continue to bltch about the glove issue. If he doesn't like it, don't fight Floyd.

I just read this and it's ****en ******. There was no glove controversy when Morales fought Pac the first time or ever because the type of gloves used, which were the ones Morales used regularly were in the contract for both fighters from the beginning. Then in the second and third fight after Pac requested to use the Reyes gloves, Morales had no issue with it and the fight went on with out any problems.

Don't ever try to lower any great warrior who fought everyone like a man and never ducked anyone down to Floyd's level ever again.
