This will be the biggest mismatch of the year. Sergio's bigger, stronger, hits harder, faster, has a better chin, greater reach, and more stamina. I'd be surprised to see it go past 6rds

The only way cotto wins this is if he crash tackles martinez's bad leg and pops that knee out.

I like cotto so I hope he doesnt get hurt too bad but I get the feeling that this might be the KO of the year.

You're really going out on a limb there...

170 lbs 30 days out so he can't be that small.

Tired of rooting against Cotto man. I love him, but he keeps fighting my favorite guys.

The fight will be all Martinez; even Roach was telling Cotto to go down as opposed to up, ya know? He could have worked down to 147 and beat Broner's ass. Missed opportunity.

Martinez by UD. Martinez should retire, but Cotto has some good fights left, I think.

Well how much did you want him to weight 158? It's not like he's trying to make weight a month away from the fight.

He usually weighs 167 on fight night, which is around where he is right now.
Other middleweights usually weigh north of 170 on fight night:
                  Chavez Jr. 181-185
                  Pavlik 178 (against Martinez)
                  Murray 175 (own admission)
                  Lee 175
                  Geale 174
                  Macklin 172
                  Rubio 171
                  GGG 170

On the other hand, Martinez definitely isn't so small (anymore) that he could still make 154 in a healthy manner if that's what you mean.

So he's around the same size as quite a few of those.

I didn't say he struggles to make weight and I didn't say he's big at the weight but he's 170 30 days out he's hardly small for the weight, and it's not the first time he's been his weight at this time.

cottos first guy to get under martinez skin. it shows when ever their together. i bet serious sergio isnt going to be smiling and prancing around like in other fights.
                      martinez has a good chin.
martinez has 6 inch reach advantage!
all that said. i'd like to see miguel get lucky.
