Fighters do say lots of things like that, still if his knee is even remotely alright he will smash on Cotto in fact I think the knee may be more of an issue in chasing Cotto down to end the fight rather than effecting the normal flow of the fight.

Roach and Cotto will certainly try to pressure immediately but as soon as Sergio cracks Cotto flush one time with that left, that plan is going to go straight out of the window.

It should be interesting to see how the dynamics of this fight unfold, I can't wait.

Cotto will come out aggressive no doubt, but I don't think that will last it may take more than 1 punch but I don't think Martinez will have a problem landing enough, then Martinez will have to chase Cotto down which may be an issue but maybe not since Cotto normally gets beat up worse on the back foot.

It will be a fun fight, what I am most interested in about it is betting on Martinez.

Sad part is, after Martinez shows up all gimpy and Cotto beats him, Cotto won't get any credit.

cotto stands a good chance against sergio with in and out manueavering

shouldn't stay in the inside that long, i can see cotto taking majority of the early to mid rd's he has ot have stamina for 15 though, because when sergio realizes he's getting his ass whooped he's gonna walk to cotto and start letting his hands fly, there cotto needs to really move, he's pretty good at it so, IF he does survive sergio's wrath, should be close on the cards

Why would you give out a lot of credit for beating a gimpy dude? If a guy is broke you have to call a spade a spade, but will only play out on fight night.

Shoot, I saw that Martinez vid the other day. Home boy was up at like 5 am and training until 5 pm. Come fight night, he is going to be a machine...Cotto better take some Ariza shakes or something because he's gonna need them.

Nah man, Cotto has been talking that smack so Sergio will make it a point to tax that ass in a major way. The fists will be flying early and often and the retribution will delivered with ferocity on fight night.

Come on man, Cotto will get caught with vicious uppercuts on the inside and he'll be eating Sergio's straight left at full extension and with leverage. Cotto's face is going to be the issue here, not Sergio's body.
Everyone Cotto has fought had a massive reach advantage - and they got tagged with a jab. A great jabber is a great jabber. Especially with one with a hands down approach

And if Cotto landed his jab consistently against the best fighter in the game - with the best defense in the game, who also has a 72" reach, I don't see where the thinking is that he can't land against Sergio

When is the last time this clown has been right about a fight? Anyway, Cotto has never fought at this weight and no one knows how he will react when he gets hit by Martinez. Maravilla has fought bigger fighters for a few years now so unless he knee is totally ****ed I see him winning.
