To me Canelo is being used the same way as Chavez. They both know how to drastically dehydrate to be the larger and stronger man in the ring come fight day.
Canelo has much more muscle than Chavez and is about to hit the wall on how much he can loose. Eventually he's going to have to fight guys that he actually weighs the same as on fight day. When that happens he's in for a ruff time. His height and reach will be exploited. Same goes for Chavez but he still can dehydrate down (when he wants to), and meet smaller men.
Canelo can still whip Cotto cause he's bigger and younger. He's going to have a hell of a time with Lara, Martinez, Quillin and GGG. All NATURALLY bigger and stronger men.

Kids on the right path but lets not label him an ATG just yet.

What do you think we are GGG fans?

Incidentally, reason OP is hyping up Canelo is same reason Calzaghe fans used to cling to Kessler - because the better Canelo does in his career, the more it elevates Floyd's win/resume. FWIW, I do actually think there's a good chance Saul becomes Floyd's best win in time - but it's just funny seeing notorious Flowmos nutbugging Canelo. Wouldn't touch the dude with a bargepole if he hadn't fought and lost to Floyd.

Nothing to do with Floyd. I like the kid bc I believe in him. He beat my favorite fight, who is most likely gonna retire. I have open vacancy so Canelo it is. He's a great young champion with a great upside, fighting all comers why not root for the kid.

Ggg? U say Canelo is overrated? Triple ggg has zero wins against any real boxer.

He can do it all box punch move and he's only getting better. I think at 160 he'll be just good enough to out box GGG, Martinez and Cotto. I personally believe GGG couldn't out box Canelo and I don't see GGG stopping Canelo either. You heard it hear first. The official Canelo hype train is boarding if you wanna get on before it's too late.

I don't think Canelo will do so bad at MW.

Saul imo would beat the version of Martinez who fought Murray.

As a side note, If he beats Lara his resume will be -so- much better than Golovkin's that I don't see how he can be considered a no hoper.

Canelo would be -by far- the best opponent GGG has ever faced, while the same idn't true for Saul.

GGG would beat Canelo with work rate alone, he wont let Canelo rest and Canelo will gas big time.

Then we add in the power punches and you will have a KOed Canelo.

                      Not what happened with Angulo.

Now, GGG is not Angulo , but Canelo is much better than anyone Golovkin has faced.

Let's hope they fight soon, a great match up.
