There was a story a while back saying GGG and Canelo sparred and Golovkin completely humiliated him. Dunno how true that is. Pics:

Would you say he's more skilled now than GGG?
i dont think he is more skilled then ggg, like most i would like to see ggg test his skills against more top contenders but right now imo i think he is

when canelo moves up, he will not be a big middleweight by any means. weighing 168 ish is not big for a middleweight. sergio weighs around that, i think 170 and he is regarded as a smaller middleweight. canelo to a smaller degree is what i call a nutrition fighter,, kinda like chavez jr.. chavez jr blows up so much weight its his main advantage against his opponents. at middleweight ppl will be bigger then canelo.

lara beats canelo, canelo has an outside chance of a ko thats it. trout nd floyd gave him big big problems. canelo is good at most everything, but not great... he fights in spurts still and not high volume at all. when ur fighting guys who are better boxers then u you gotta have high punch output that canelo doesnt have

Lol - looks like Canelo is missing by about 2 feet in his usual fashion against anyone who knows distance. I don't think they went at it hard, like when GGG embarrassed Chavez, he pulled all of his punches - just easy sparring. But as I said, GGG said Canelo is like his little brother... take that for what you will.

I believe so as well. He's the best young star in the game.

Canelo is already making a nice little resume for himself. Its going to pay dividends in the long run. And a big reason he is gaining popularity is because he is fighting REAL CHALLENGES. Maybe the sport has a future after all.

They are both underrated, because they both get overly hyped. Canelo has been tested and IMO has the better resume. I need to see Golovkin fight Ward or another named 168 lbs'er for him to be tested. But they are both Underrated.

People have the audacity to say that Canelo is overrated but GGG isn't? Look at some of the birdbrain comments on this thread alone, GGG has fought nobody and Canelo's last three fights shit on his entire resume. I think Canelo deserves a bit of respect, at least he's taking on rigid competition unlike Golovkin at this point.

He can do it all box punch move and he's only getting better. I think at 160 he'll be just good enough to out box GGG, Martinez and Cotto. I personally believe GGG couldn't out box Canelo and I don't see GGG stopping Canelo either. You heard it hear first. The official Canelo hype train is boarding if you wanna get on before it's too late.
Canelo can beat everyone at 160 except GGG If Jr Cotto stun him can you imagine what GGG would do
