Chavez's career didn't hit its stride until he was about 25. By 24, he already had close to 10 defenses of his WBC SFW belt, and a bunch of non title fights, but his most memorable fights came right after.

I thought it'd be easier to argue for Chavez but their careers, to this point, are actually comparable.... Although, I doubt they'll be so in 5 years.

... Anyone else hear Tyson saying Chavez had a good case at being TBE?

If I remember correctly, Canelo was throwing single punches that fight. Trout probably threw more combos than that mofoka.

cmon mathysse you know lara got gifted vs Molina he won like 3 rounds to 7. P Williams is not a good name coming off a many Pacquiao type knockout. Canelo whipped trout he made him miss and pay, he boxed trouts ears off and tried to just pressure canelo. I wish I could go, my dad said we might go cuz he has credit at the MGM so I can see larita get KO'd in person lol

Boxed trouts ears off? No that's what Lara did. Canelo had a close fight with him. Williams isn't a good name but angulo is after saying no mas?

no mas? he got fckng injured. He could have lost his eye, what was he supposed to do go on without any vision and a scratched cornea? I can guarantee nobody has had a scratched cornea here. Lara did the bootydew twice and wasn't winning ever single round without the knockdowns like you fanboys love to think. AND MOLINA BOXED HIS EARS OFF Yah he didn't land any flush shots at all on canelo, the way you fanboys say mayweather beat maidana is the same way you are saying canelo lost to trout. Canelo knocked him down and beat an undefeated trout, then lara fights an unmotivated trout and gets mass credit? wtf?

Canelo whips lara easy, I can see a late stoppage the more I think about how lara gets on the ropes and shells up is exactly what canelo will do, and if Molina can outbox lara then canelo beat him on the inside, the outside, wherever. but lara only knows one way and that is backwards, dude is going to run the whole fckng fight. YAWWWNNNN and canelo finally catches him and puts him out

Lara facing a guy who can punch for once= gets the beating of his life, goes life and death, pisses blood, and gets lucky on a freak injury.

            Canelo fights angulo= obliterates him.

FOR ALL THE IDIOTS WHO THINK LARA "SHATTERED" ANGULO'S EYE BONE

CARSON, Calif. ***8211; After Alfredo Angulo turned his back on Erislandy Lara in the middle of a highly competitive fight Saturday on Showtime, talk immediately turned to a hot-button debate in boxing: When is it OK to quit?

Angulo's grotesquely swollen eye, which he claimed was the result of a thumb from Lara (though replays seemed to indicate it resulted from a clean punch), led to speculation Angulo suffered a fractured left orbital. Many fans and observers understood him bowing out of the fight, while others were critical.

But if you ask Angulo, it was all a misunderstanding.

"I never quit. I turned to tell (trainer) Virgil (Hunter) that my eye got thumbed twice," Angulo told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday in a text message through his attorney and co-manager Lucy Haro.

"The ref (Raul Caiz. Sr.) stopped it without checking the situation or giving a count. A regular punch would not do that (damage). It's dirty fighting by Lara, again. I was following the game plan and was building the pressure. But I won the love and respect of nonbelievers, too."

Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs) dropped Lara twice in the bout, but was down on two of the three official scorecards at the time of the stoppage ***8211; 1:50 of the 10th round.

The 30-year-old Mexican was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center immediately after the fight on the advice of the ringside plastic surgeon and was discharged at 3 a.m. Pacific, Angulo's co-manager Michael Miller told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday.

Inexplicably, Angulo didn't receive an X-ray or an MRI at the hospital. It was ruled he didn't suffer any fractures or breaks.

Miller isn't satisfied and says Angulo will visit an ophthalmologist probably Monday.

"The plastic surgeon at ringside said he thought that not only was it broken, he thought it might be shattered in pieces," Miller said. "What happened to him at UCLA seems to be just a big waste of time. Nobody really checked him out.

"The chances that there wasn't a break are pretty high, though. Let's hope that that's what happened. I'm not going to protest or anything like that, we're going to move on. Lucy says his eye looks a lot better today. It's obviously swollen and it's bruised***8230;"

Angulo kept ice on his injured eye all night to reduce the swelling. But he was in good spirits Sunday and attended his daughter's dance recital in Southern California, wearing sunglasses to shield the damage.

Also how bad did Lara look against Hernandez even? Dreadful dreadful fight.
I know you are omitting the obvious but I'll educate you anyway, first the molina fight was a hug fest initiated by cm of course, Lara had an infection three days prior to the fight but he didn't want to cancel, another thing that ppl like you tends to forget is that the fight was up in the air because the first opponent for Lara pull out of the contest, on top of that Shields was off with Rigondeaux in Ireland for his fight with casey, still he hurt connected the best punches and cleanest punches of the fight and hurt molina in a couple of occasions, the angulo fight he had all the cards stacked against him, a very tiny ring (I'm not even sure if was legal), verbal rehydration clause the same day of the weight in, only for Lara and a mat made out memory foam now you throw in the way perro look on that fight (look to me like the energizer bunny) and there you have it, with all that $h1t against him and he make perro quit, how about that...

I don't care how many excuses you make. Kirkland struggling with Molina is excuseable since he sucks, but not Lara.

                      Keep it up fanboys.
