Canelo Alvarez Has Already Had a Tougher Schedule than Chavez Sr!?

Oh great, now we are comparing Canelo to JCC Sr

I'm a massive JCC fan, he's a top 10 ATG no doubt with one of the best and deepest resumes in history and one of the very best offensive fighters with an underrated defence but if you look at the first 45 fights of both guys, Canelo is ahead.

He hasn't been as dominant as JCC was around the FW-SFW divisions at the time, Canelo has struggled with some pedestrians guys but he has still faced truly world class opponents. JCC didn't till well past fight 35. I think it was fight 41 or 2 in which he won the SFW title.

Canelo has already faced the number 2 guy in his division (Trout at the time), the P4P number 1 and is now facing another guy ranked as the no. 2 or 3 guy in the division. That's not bad at all.

I never used to like Canelo, the Trout fight should have probably been a loss and obviously he got beat fairly easily by Mayweather. But I can't deny the kid is fighting some of the best fighters out there, and Lara, another brilliant fighter, is next.

Canelo is going to be one of the top fighters of the next generation and I'll be watching all his fights.

I'm not sure which is worse; the guy who compared JMM to Duran yesterday or this.

JMM is an ATG just like Pacquiao so comparisons with Duran are fair and understandable for both those fighters.

Not to mention Trout gave Canelo 99 problems and on top of that open scoring ruined the fight.

If Canelo gets by Lara with no controversy then I'll take him seriously; but barely beating Trout getting shut out by Floyd and beating up WW Lopez doesn't do it for me.
