He seems to go with everything Bob Arum says, like Manny Pacquiao which I'm sure he is a big fan of due to his articles and blatant twisting of facts.

Anyone saying that Chavez Jr. is scared of GGG is really going full ******.

Chavez wont let bob have his soul. Manny take notes, this is how you stand up for yourself.

The old unspecified purse and crazy terms ploy. Bob the lawyer talking, the only thing specific in this contract are Bob's terms, crazy or not. Chavez owes Bob, Bob owes nothing. I thought a contract was a two way street, not a one way ride.

it was arum's careful match making that made chavez, jr. the star he is today. now he wants more than he actually worth. the guy's a bum with no talent.

All it does is hurt top rank, because it seems Chavez is perfectly content to wait it out and sign with haymon, and then arum will be hurting..
Over the next 16 months he has manny, jmm, Chavez all possibly leaving or retiring and there is no young cash cows for top rank.. Even mikey Garcia trying to break free..

In two years the top rank stable will be Bradley, abregu, Jessie Vargas...

Hate to say it, but I think top ranks days of being a premier promoter are done.. I think they are headed to the goosen, main event, level of promotions..
              you said salty. WHAhahahah

                That's very shady.

If Jr.'s contract suddenly doesn't end until almost a year and a half from now then why the big rush to get him to sign an extension?

Disappointing but I can't help but respect Jr's decision. Not everyone is keen on being a slave for TR all their career. I wonder what the offer was for the Golovkin fight. If it was under 5 million I don't blame Chavez 1 bit because he is clearly the draw of the 2 fighters...

Hopefully we'll get to hear more details about what actually happened in the near future - mainly, right now I'm just gutted that another good fight ain't gonna happen.

It's unclear (possibly deliberately) what Arum's actually saying - is Jrs contract til 10/15 regardless or would it expire after one more fight? If it's the latter than Bob's simply being disingenuous - in effect he woulda been trying to strongarm Jr into staying with him .

If OTOH Jr is tied in for the next 17 months regardless of how many or which fights he takes then IMO he'd do better to suck it up and fight who he can for the most money - which right now would seem to be the GGG PPV, rather than end up waiting out his contract like Ward.

I'm also a little concerned about the Haymon influence too, not cos I give a damn 'bout Arum, but cos it's almost starting to look like there's a deliberate policy of trying sabotage HBO marquee fights by Haymon / SHO, which isn't a good thing IMO however much it might be 'just business'.
