yes it does. you said he uttered a slur when he didn't. As cuahtemoc (sp) suggested the suspension might be for culmulative infractions. Ok, I get that. But what he said Saturday night simply wasn't racist. It was terrible timing given, again as cuha pointed out, Cinco de mayo weekend.

Thats what this seems to be. Not that what he said was racist or a sllur, but that he said it on the holiday. I'm sure a similar act on MLK day or St. Patricks Day may be addressed the same way.

My own opinion:
The best way to handle this would just to let the hands speak if mexicans are really offended, they should just find the most talented 140 pounds mexican and let him box Broner.

In general i dont like all the blackballing/suspending etc. type of tactics, its kinda childish. By now he probably allready learned his lesson. I also feel sorry for him if his right, freedom of speech has become less. I guess right now he wont be able to use the CANman jokes again...

He was kinda original with the CANman character/persona, he doesnt discriminate everyone CAN get it. Even Thurman uses it sometimes but in a more politically correct way.

So you missed the fact that Broner demeans Mexicans outside of his little scthick? I used 3 other examples, 2 that were used in interviews, and 1 outside an interview where there was no scthick involved.
