In response to what you said, let me make this clear. I don't think or better yet, don't know if Broner is a racist. I personally don't care, what I do think is that it has nothing to do with Al Sharpton coming to the defense of injustices (or what he sees as injustices) for the black community.

We have those same leaders in the Mexican community we just aren't as vocal about it. En****** like La Raza do exist, but they don't make major headlines like Sharpton does who prefers to be in the spot light and I see as a charlatan because of his actions, not what he fights for.

Second, if you are going to hold standards of not being able to say things against blacks and ***s for example, then we need to include everyone. Is it to PC? Maybe, but it's the world we live in and I think because so many people have cried wolf, this is the response.

You are 100% correct on Sterling, still doesn't equate to Broner though and the WBC is not the NBA. Broner has done enough ****** things leading up to this and I think this was the last straw.
Same to you. It is always good to debate and not mudsling.

I do agree with you here. Yes sharpton is an opportunist, the problem is there are enough ****** people out there who give him opportunities.

I also agree that some things are allowed where similar things are not. My main pont about Broner was he has equally offended every nationality that ends with CAN equally with his schtick.

Well yes, a culmulative suspension, while I may not agree totally, makes more sense. His language pre and post fight is something he can easily control.

The real sad part for me is he has been sold on the notion that offending the mexican fanbase in hopes of them buying his fights to see him lose is a sound marketing strategy. Broner needs to be developing his own fanbase, not angering and alienating the biggest one.

I agree and let me also clarify that when a Mexican speaks on Mexican things, it's sort of excused. The same way Broner or Mayweather can use the word ni66er and not be fined or punished for it.

When Broner said "***ing Mexican" it's not really racist, but I think it was the racial connotations that it carried that bothered the WBC and the fact it was on a headline PPV on Cinco de Mayo no less.

It may not be right in a logical way, but I can understand where they are just tired of every time they interview Broner they get ni66a, di.ck, pu$$y, hoe, mother ***er, b1tch ass and everything else.

Kid needs to grow the *** up.

            • Al Sharpton, the "N" word and all of that other **** you clowns are bringing to the table has d$ck to do with anything. Broner may possibly be fined and suspended over talking ****. This sets a bad precedent for the future. People hate Broner so right now they don't see the repercussions of this ridiculous situation.

              • I can sort of see where people would get upset about it. I am just so tired of everybody being butt hurt about everything. It is ****ing tiresome. If he would have said **** or ******* than I would have been pissed but he didn't. If the dude was Korean he fought and said "I just beat up a Korean!" would it be terrible? Broner is an idiot that we all know.

We all allow things within our own culture. I don't think we need to mention floyd here. Broner is his own man and his actions are his alone.

I understand why the WBC reacted. It seems they got some external pressure given the holiday. I get that. But you know what you get with Broner. He is running with his act for better or worse.

Broner needs to grow up that is true. IMO, its sad, as Max Kellerman discussed on the last fight game, that so many young black fighters believe acting like this is the only way they can cultivate a fanbase.
