    He's right.

This is how the majority see it.

Mayweather at no point dominated anything he adjusted mildly and found a way to receive less of an asswhupping for floyd **** riders this apparantley amounts to "domination"

Aye he did. Fighting flat footed and using zero distance control is going to cost Canelo his whole career. He seems clueless at this point. Really hope the guy is realizing what he's doing to himself but I'm afraid that may be too hopeful on my part.

This fight was won pretty clearly by Maidana all Floyd did was manage to pull out his bag of tricks to keep from getting beat up worse, too much nationalism , denial and just plain arrogance in denying Maidana THE WIN and money too, floyd **** riders want to make him into SRR and he clearly isnt that, hes just a fighter whos picked his opponents very carefully and not to say he isnt talented, but hes nowhere near whaere too many people rank him , he clearly got his ass kicked boy got mauled he looked beat up and he and his crew had the look of defeat, got booed the **** outta there for good reason.

I had it 115:113 for Mayweather. But you could also score it a draw.
At the end of the day Mayweather did not look like the p4p Nr.1 in there.
Maidana has improved though. I would like to see him against Bradley.

If your definition of winning a round is like Max Kellerman's--who would you have rather been in that round--there is objective evidence in the numbers I just provided to support the notion that Maidana won 7 of the 12 rounds. At the end of the fight, Floyd looked like the beat up fighter (even ignoring the cut) and not Maidana.

I had Floyd winning 7 to 5, but some of those rounds were razor close and I have no problem with a 7 to 5 Maidana score. 8-4 Maidana or 8-4 Floyd is too much and 9-3 either way is ridiculous. Pretty much every boxing writer worth his salt had it between 115-113 Floyd and 115-113 Maidana. Even Paulie Malignaggi, a scorer that always favors the boxer (surprise, surprise) had the fight 115-114 Floyd. If he scored the fight that way from ringside (which he did), your whole argument goes up in smoke. Paulie is biased for pure boxers, which he has shown time and again, and yet he still had it closer than you say is possible.

                  http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/vi...idana-compubox
Steve Bounce and Max Kellerman both have scored 116-112 also Teddy Atlas had it 117-112, he can't predict fights but he can score. Also saying that most of the boxing writers had it between 115 113 floyd and 115 113 maidana is not the whole truth because there is an undeniable majority of the boxing writers that had it for Floyd.
And about compubox, it's just a man pushing buttons. I won't argue with that but it's just not reliable.

punch stat matters to me. it was a hard fight now doubt but Cotto landed quality punches while Maidana just pushed him up on the ropes and threw punches. He was way busier but he didn't even land the most punches. floyd had his troubles but he didn't run and at times stood toe to toe and out worked Maidana when he decided to let his hands go. Really, some of you guys are idiots. Some of you guys act like this is the first time you guys seen Maidana fight. You can't expect to win if all you do is throw 1000 punches while the other guy landed at a higher %, actually landed more, and landed the cleaner punches.
