According to New England it's because he's black

Yeah. Its as if he lives in another world all by himself. Goosen turned down a fight for him with Kessler and that fight is dead now. It would have given Ward good money, but Ward wants PPV money against some TBA. In the meantime the other players at SMW fight each other for big money, while Ward is staying in jOakland waiting for Godot.

Ward and Kovalev are the same damn size
It's such a great fight. And honestly, what fights would happen anytime soon that make Ward more money than he'd probably be paid for a Kovalev fight? Chavez isn't going to fight him, and by the time the Golovkin fight might happen, Kovalev might offer just as much.

I wouldn't pay PPV for any Ward fight, because you know he would stink the place up, regardless of who he fights.

Why would Ward even fight Kovalev though? I mean, I'd like the fight and would watch, but I doubt Ward gives one crap about a paper WBO title.

wow, people do not read on here. What is there to dis about Ward? check boxrec and see how many fights Froch has fought on his home turf? more than Ward ! One thing I do like is that people on here cannot dis the boys skillset, they just dis the politics that 9 out of 10 people onhere do not understand. When you are fighter ladies and gentleman, your window of making $ is not that long, when you go up or down in weight it affects your performance, some for the better and some for the worst. Andre Ward gives straight up and down interviews with no fillers. Dan goosen has put MR. Ward in a peculiar position, because Andre Ward has had another promoter that was with him before Dan Goosen, and the other promoter is the COpromoter along with Goosen, the other promoter paid half of Andre Wards signing bonus along with Dan Goosen, now Dan Goosen is refusing to pay said promoter and this has happened over the past couple of fights, so Ward 1)does not want to do business with someone who has the audacity to pull such a stunt, because remember Ward is a stand up Guy, so the lawsuits etc are really between his copromoters, and since Goosen displays shady business practices, ward would like to leave dude alone - hope to see some mature responses instead of the grammar school post's I've been seeing lately on here.

Yeah right. There's nobody out there worth Ward's while. He is just too good. It is much better for him relaxing in jOakland admired by his millions of fans.

I am also confused by ward's logic. He expects golovkin, who could make 154, to come up and fight him at 168, but he won't go up to fight the "puncher" kovalev at 175? So it is okay to demand golovkin to go up in weight to a truly unnatural weight and fight one of the top p4p guys out there, but it is not okay for one of the best p4p guys to go up one weight class to fight a mere "puncher?" Ward is also neglecting the fact that golovkin stands to make WAY more monet fighting chavez. Not even close.
