LOL I can only imagine what Maidana had to do to be penalized. He could have been swinging a blade at Floyd's head and Tony Weeks wouldn't have done ****.

And of course most people on NSB have taken the position of supporting and defending Maidana's actions.

Anything to beat Floyd eh? The modus operandi of Maidana was "Everything is allowed, everything is permitted". Even rugby tackles and Knee strikes, only problem is...46-0

It was the rough fight and Maidana used a lot of rough tactics and I was very close to taking a point away from him, he said.

Weeks added that both fighters used all they could to win the bout making it a competitive affair Mayweather has been involved in a long time.

There were things happening from both sides but for the most part Mayweather was the cleaner fighter.

Too late Tony you fucced up bad. Rabbit punces, hip punches, wild ass mma head punches and even a knee attempt??

      A FUCCIN KNEE ATTEMPT???

IN a boxing match doe? Do your fuccin job.
Floyd biches complainig about dirty fights GTFO
Weeks didnt deduct because it would have been a joke to take a point away from one fighter when the other one is throwing just as many illegal blows. What's up with those elbow strikes, punches to the back of the head and forearm to the throat? Mthefkers talking about Chino being dirty, even in MMA they dont allow that sht you dumbfk.

Look Floyd is no super clean fighter, but Maidana was doing some extremly dirty stuff in there. The man tried to knee Mayweather. There is no way that a point shouldn't have been taken away for that. Yes Floyd does use his forearm to push an opponent off when they clinch. But lets be real Maidana was using the forearm, elbow, hitting behind the head, headbutting, and hitting below the belt. After 3 fouls you should have a point deducted. The only one of these fouls that Maidana only did once was the knee.
Having said that, I don't fault Maidana. You are fighting the best P4P fighter. Get in there and get dirty, and try to make the night as uncomfortable as possible for him. If the ref doesn't stop you, then don't stop. But I do blame Weeks. Weeks normally lets fighters fight, but this was just ridiculous. I thought Draculich did a bad job in the Khan vs Collazo fight, but he did much better than Weeks did in the Mayweather Maidana fight.

Man this fight was so rugged I don't even know how they both survived. Forget 'nam, Floyd v Chino was real war man.

No, I think this thread is full of boxing fans not happy with the job that the ref did in the fight. I personally am not mad at Maidana. I'm a firm believer in "if the ref allows it, then keep doing it". However the ref shouldn't allow that many fouls. If Mayweather was constantly hitting Maidana in the back of the head, low blows, headbutting, and attempting a knee, I would say the same thing against him. Right is Right, and wrong is wrong whether you like or dislike a fighter.

The worst thing an. official can do is have doubts or hesitation.

There were, 2 instances where , MM should have a point deducted .

I can only imagine what you'd be saying now if the roles were reversed. If it was Floyd who was holding and punching, punching behind the head repeatedly, attempting to knee, rugby tackling, twisting arms, thigh punching, bull-rushing with the head, headbutting, low blowing etc.

If Floyd was the one doing that and got away without being penalized you'd be singing a different tune right now. And its this very hypocrisy that condemns you.

Floyd should have been deducted for excessive holding.

Is an attempted foul something you can get penalized for? I don't know the answer to that but I doubt it. In football if you attempted a late hit on the quarterback but missed, you wouldn't get penalized. I assume the same is true in boxing--that if you try to foul but fail you aren't penalized. Maybe that explains why the knee wasn't called.
