Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz believes a new star will arrive on July 19th at the Cotai Arena in Macau, when his fighter Jonathan Guzman (16-0, 16KOs) steps up in class to challenge Guillermo Rigondeaux (13-0, 8KOs) for the WBA/WBO super bantamweight titles. In order to make the title fight official, Lewkowicz has submitted a request to secure the approval of the WBO and the WBA.

The fight with Guzman will be the final remaining contractual obligation that Rigondeaux has under his promotional agreement with Top Rank.
