This is a tuff sport and its about making big money when you can, hell fight him with "catchers mitts" if you have to.
      Ray.
So we can finally ditch the phony random blood test crusade, right?

You can go back to criticizing Floyd over the gloves all you want though. That's fine. Don't have a problem with that.
so you couldn't answer my question? ok that's what I thought Floyd boy

I don't see why Floyd would want to hurt the promotion of the rematch by allowing this to be an issue. It's just going to give Maidana, Gacria and Co. room to clown him about this during the fight buildup. It would be like an everyday thing.

Seems to me that they will be able to use the promotional trick of allowing Maidana to wear whatever he wants, which will drive intrigue for the rematch.

              Glovegate Conspiracy Theory.....

              OK here it goes.

Given the lack of hype/competiveness being viewed for Maidana there was likely concerns with everyone that the #'s might not reach satisfactory goals not to mention there really isn't a marketable name B-side for Floyd's next fight that would guarantee any better results.
So maybe Floyd did decide he had to mix it up a bit more to bring back viewers who wouldn't be as interested in 12 rounds of point scoring easy work.Which was why he decided to pull that stunt with the gloves and force Maidana to wear a less puncher friendly glove. And what happens the fight was competitive there's a storyline and a rematch that will have greater buzz than the first fight.

                I don't believe Floyd anymore...
he can give up on this, but who knows with what he's going to come in the last minute...
... He can't "hype" shit after last Saturday...

^^^ A lot of unnecessary sophistication in order to prove what?

That would be a great idea indeed. But Floyd is too much a coward for taking that tiny risk it seems.

I thought he was getting beaten against the rope on purpose for the fans.
Your theory is that he acted like a big fat pssy and demanded sparring gloves or else there was no fight, not because he's a big fat ***** affraid of getting hit with normal MX gloves, but because this is his idea of making things interesting rather than the actual fight.
No, youre not reaching to justify Floyd, not at all.
