You're assuming all 8oz gloves are the same. Obviously there are punchers gloves that are made for inflicting more damage. There are gloves designed to protect the hands more so than others. To say it makes absolutely zero difference is absurd.

I never said they made no difference. I said they made no difference in that specific fight. Unless u are assuming Maidana would have somehow knocked Floyd out, which he never even came close at all to doing. Maidana performed well. He wasn't discouraged by the fact he was fighting with different gloves. The gloves didnt seem to help or hinder him.

The mental aspect is very subjective tho. It made little if no difference to Maidana on fight night imo. He's not the type of person it would affect and his performance proved that. There's not much he could have done better besides have more stamina. Notvssying he shouldn't have been allowed to wear the gloves. He absoluteky should have if the commission approved them. I'm saying it won't really matter much in the final outcome.

mental aspect makes a big difference, if you're wearing thinner gloves you can feel the impact in your knuckles, your hand alot better, you feel you are doing more damage, you're gonna throw more, and where with one gloves you feel, eh, not really feeling it going to his core, if you have thinner gloves with more feeling, you can tell better that you are doing damage and will commit a little more to the body for example

That's not my point. Ppl still laughed at the excuse. Abd in the end, it was that. An excuse. It made no difference. And once again I already said he should have been allowed to wear what he wanted. It still wouldn't have changed a dmn thing. All it does is enforces the fact Floyd Is a diva and give ppl things to hate him for which i s fine. But to act like it's worth arguing whether the gloves chsnged the outcome is just silly.

Yes this is the silliness ppl want to believe. And that's fine. But it's still silliness. Gloves weren't gonna suddenly give Maidana the ability to knock Floyd out. Like I said, he didn't cone close at all. Never even had Floyd hurt.
