I always favored Floyd if they fought years ago but the more I think about it I think about it I can't see how Floyd would have beat him throwing a few shots here and there.
Manny would have pressed the action and either Floyd stands his ground and goes toe to toe like Marquez did in 4 fights or Manny wins rounds with his punch output and clean left hands. He's really the only guy I could see taking a decision against Floyd. And, if Floyd went toe to toe he would have got hurt IMO.
This reminds me of when Apollo's manager said this to Apollo in Rocky II. LOL

    'Hes all wrong for us'

    Your right though.

Look, I don't have time to debate with the daft. If you think Manny had no problems with Bradley both times than that's on you. Not really gonna argue over that.

They are stylistically tough for one another. Floyd is a better boxer - and I'm not sure if Manny would fight rough like Maidana. That said, Floyd has quicker hands and is gifted defending in the center or in the pocket.

Throwing 1000 punches is not in itself a recipe for success - it's what lands that matters.

            But it wont happen.

Nope, Floyd is perfect for Pacman, Did you see how he covered up? Pac loves that, the only way to beat Manny is to counter punch him with power combos at least 4 shots while he trades. Floyd is not willing to mix it up like that, Floyd rarely throws combos, he pot shots, and he has no head movement for the straight left, he got pumped with 5 slow maidana jabs in a row almost lol

All Pac has to do is box like he did against oscar with those left hands and get out of the way, Floyd would be getting hit with the straight lead left all night and Pac would get out of the way super fast.

Floyd knew Pacman style was all wrong for him that is why he was scared.

But Pac today would lose easy to Floyd, Pacman is shot already he has no more foot speed.

Marquez is a very good counter puncher, but he's no Mayweather when it comes to counter punching. Also, Mayweather is 100 times the defensive fighter that Marquez is. Mayweather would have an easier time than people think against Manny. Bradley is not the best boxer in the world and gave Manny A LOT of trouble.
Floyd's output is so low and I think this is what would be his undoing vs Pacquiao. It seems his output is becoming even lower as he gets older.

Pacquiao, unlike Floyd, would actually hurt Maidana. Another reason why Maidana kept coming forward. Maidana would have to think twice before coming at Pacquiao. Pacquiao throws combos harder and faster than Floyd. And he's a southpaw.

If you think Maidana would have the same success vs Pacquiao that he did vs Floyd then you're smoking something.

First of all Pacquaio will not get past Maidana jab and Maidana's head movement. Maidana body punches will crumble Pacquaio and we know Pacquaio can not take body shots. Pacquaio is also very susceptible to the overhand right and jab to the body as Marquez set it up ad Bradley hit him with uppercuts . They were both slow telegraphed punchers and Maidana is much more faster, hit harder and come with punches from all angles. He also can fight backwards. Maidana has the tools to beat Pacquaio and I hope PAC don't sign with Arum so this fight can possibly happen.
