Pacquiao, unlike Floyd, would actually hurt Maidana. Another reason why Maidana kept coming forward. Maidana would have to think twice before coming at Pacquiao. Pacquiao throws combos harder and faster than Floyd. And he's a southpaw.

First of all Pacquaio will not get past Maidana jab and Maidana's head movement. Maidana body punches will crumble Pacquaio and we know Pacquaio can not take body shots. Pacquaio is also very susceptible to the overhand right and jab to the body as Marquez set it up ad Bradley hit him with uppercuts . They were both slow telegraphed punchers and Maidana is much more faster, hit harder and come with punches from all angles. He also can fight backwards. Maidana has the tools to beat Pacquaio and I hope PAC don't sign with Arum so this fight can possibly happen.

Once again, you're dismissing Pacquiao's speed and power which would stop Maidana on his tracks. And since you wanna bring up other fights then If Khan beat Maidana, Pacquiao demolishes him.

And Pacquiao can't take body shots? According to who or since when? He took some pretty good shots from Rios and Bradley. I know Bradley is not a puncher but Rios is.

Another thing that Pacquiao brings to the table which Maidana also brought was mental fortitude. Floyd wouldnt break Pacquiao down mentally like he has done to his past opponents. Pacquiao gets frustrated but he stays in the fight.

We all know the real issues behind why the fight didn't happen, so I won't get into those.

But I will tell you this. I always thought that the way to beat Floyd is to throw about 100 punches per round, from all different angles, all heavy handed, and with speed.

The only one who fit that profile was Manny Pacquiao. Would he have beaten him? That is what the world wanted to see.

It's too bad we were robbed of the great what could have been.
