Manny is a southpaw. For that reason alone, Mayweather is better staying away. Add the fact that Manny is fast, smart and powerful tells me why the fight never happened.

        Yes he is.......

Bradley has turned into a very good counter-puncher.

          This.

Marquez has always been successful with Pacquiao because he's willing to exchange power shots with Pacquiao.

In similar scenarios where Pacquiao launches an attack.. Floyd would be covering up and Pacquiao would rack up points. Whereas Marquez wouldnt cover up and throw back with bad intentions.

Floyd's best chance is in the center of the ring where Pacquiao is still vulnerable to the straight right as seen in the last Bradley fight, however, Pacquiao has improved evading that straight right as a result of learning from the KO. There are many instances in the 2nd Bradley fight where Pacquiao feints, anticipates the straight right, evades it and fires back for free. Of course, none of that type of savvy boxing was shown in any of the HBO replays.

Marquez and Floyd are not the same kind of counter puncher. Marquez was willing to go to war with Manny in order to win and got busted up in every fight including his Ko win where he had a broken nose and was all bruised up.
Floyd would never fight that way..If he could out box Manny with single right hand counters then it would be amazing to see.

Mayweather would have an easier time than people think against Manny. Bradley is not the best boxer in the world and gave Manny A LOT of trouble.
Marquez isn't scared to take hits; he'd risk taking a shot to land a brutal one; Floyd isn't wired that way.

And I'm talking 5 years ago of course when Manny was killing guys. They both are clearly not in their prime anymore and I would favor Floyd to pull out a razor close decision now. Then again one judge had him winning 9 rounds against Maidana so who knows if Manny could get a decision at all.

Stylistically the both pose problems for each other which is why it made for such an interesting fight. I would have gone with Pac, but it doesn't matter now. Only Floyd fans think he would have "destroyed" Manny. I don't pay attention to their nonsense.

                      No you don't..........

                      " i still have a 40 year floyd ud'ing pac"

No you don't. Smh. Floyd is over-rated and always has been. He's not an ATG and he has flaws that will get him a loss on his record shall he ever face more "skilled" opponents. The Castillo l fight proved that, the Cotto fight proved that, and the Maidana fight just proved it again. He does amateurish things like fighting with his hands down to his side and getting caught with clean hard jabs to the mouth. He hand picked Cotto and took punishment. He hand picked Maidana and took even more punishment. This is what he gets for claiming to be T.B.E. and undermining other great fighters in the sport. He should've giving Maidana a beating while barely being touched. He's no SRL, WHITAKER, HAGLER, HEARNS. etc. He's a level below those ring immortals. He needs to retire today before he gets hurt.
