I'm a Golovkin fan but he's human bro and we have weight classes for a reason. I saw Stevens and Adama back him up. Kessler has the chin, power, size and footwork to beat Golovkin and I'd pick him to win.

He has good defence for a come-forward fighter but he gets hit too, imo too much to be competing with the top guys at 168.

He's just not that fighter anymore.

That said, it wouldn't be a wipeout and I would love to see it happen.

I just don't want to see Kessler get abused, which I think would happen later in the fight.
Didn't you see him hurt Froch late in his last fight?

      Lol that obviously isn't true.

Start at 4.00 - he took a solid punch before he was knocked down, but doesn't even take a real punch when he went down. He came straight up, smiled dodged a jab and landed his own.

I'm hoping for a Parken fight, but it's probably going to be in Herning I would imagine. the set-up is much better there.

      I'll be there for sure.

I just don't think we can conclude anything as we haven't seen GGG up against that level of opponent or size. His supposed fight (if that's still on) with jr would tell us a lot.

Kessler looked good against Magee and aside from the first 3 rounds against Froch, also looked good in that fight. So it really depends on who shows up, but I think I would put good money on Kessler to win, should it happen.

i don't know what you want me to say when a fighter is clearly wobbling and you try and tell me that he isn't.

He was indeed clearly wobbled. Good for him that he tagged Green with a monster hook to keep him honest subsequently. When I watched the fight back then, it seemed to me as the cobwebs didn't leave kesslers brain before about a minute into round 2. He was clearly hurt like never before.

I saw a very faded version of Kessler lose bad in that fight, which is why I have come to this speculation.

He just doesn't have enough left, especially with vision problems to deal with GGG. Sorry we disagree.

That's a reasonable post, I just happen to disagree.

I just can't see Kessler beating him anymore. Maybe he can prove me wrong in his next outing.

Lose bad? What fight where you watching? It was a 7-5 fight and Froch was ready to go in round 11.

                  a nice, unbiased take.

kessler has big nuts and a great chin. green can punch hard and accurately. we can recognize both of these things.

i sitll think that the worst i've seen kessler hurt was from a body shot from calzaghe. i haven't seen that fight in years, doe. maybe i'll ahve to cue it up. great, great fight. we didn't really know what those two had. kessler turned out to be a very good fighter, and calzaghe is a hall of famer.

Calzaghe made him shart his trunks with a slap to the liver.

lol that's what forums are for!

I just don't think Golovkin moves up to 168 that easily. I actually pick Sakio Bika to give him hell at the weight. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it right now.
