I have NEVER seen any fighter hold grab push pull elbow or push down the other guys head so many times in a fight befor like khan did to collazo it was so frusterating watching that fight an then to hear this come out his mouth like he beat somebody to begin with a b level fighter with no power at 147 now he thinks he is ready for floyd!!!?????

I personally believe Khan should have to fight Guerrero Thurman..Good win for Khan to build on,not the win he needs to make me forget about his back to back losses and how he loss..Not to mention how he looked against Molina and Diaz..I need to see at least a win over a top 10 opponent within his div..Since being stopped,he has not beat a top 10 ranked opponent..I need to see this before getting behind a Khan fight..

Floyd wasn't able to sufficiently deter Maidana last night, but Floyd has consistently demonstrated that he has enough pop to keep opponents honest. Khan was hurt last night by Collazo, who is not a big puncher. To Khan's credit, he didn't crumble, but the fact that Collazo was able to hurt him so late in the fight after willingly taking so many punches himself is hardly convincing evidence that Khan found a way to replace his glass chin with steel.

As for Khan being all wrong for Floyd, you have that right, just not the way you think. Maidana's success last night was due to the fact that he was aggressive and didn't waste time trying to get fancy or out-think Floyd. Maidana also showed little respect for Floyd and clearly didn't care about all of the drama surrounding the fight. Maidana is the epitome of the ego-less fighter who fights for fighting's sake.

Khan will try to outbox the world's best boxer and he'll fail to do that successfully, just like every other Mayweather opponent who has tried. Additionally, Khan's ego and emotional investment in fighting Floyd will put him at a significant disadvantage before he even enters the ring.

By the way, if you think that a ref is going to allow Khan to hold and push down on the head against Floyd the way he did against Collazo, you're in for a rude awakening.

The ref allowed a lot of **** vs Maidana and Floyd, because both do bad things. Maidana hitting when told to stop and Floyd pushing / using his fore arm.

Maidana and Khan fought in 2010, and contrary to your apparently hazy recollection of that fight, Khan was himself almost laid out and escaped with a close victory. Maidana-Khan notwithstanding, 4 years is an eternity in this game. Maidana has improved considerably during that time and his stock has risen. Khan, on the other hand, was knocked out twice since 2010. If you want to play the pointless match-up triangulation game, consider that just a year ago, Khan spent an entire fight running from and almost getting knocked out by the same Julio Diaz who another possible Floyd opponent, Keith Thurman, retired with a single body shot.

Styles make fights. Maidana and Khan have different styles. Maidana's aggressive style, a style which few have actually been willing and able to execute against Floyd over the course of a 12 round fight, proved problematic for Floyd. Khan's style, which would almost certainly have him trying to outbox the world's best boxer, has failed everyone who has tried it.

I was very disappointed by Floyd's performance last night and even more disappointed by his excuse-making following it, but you have to be incredibly naive to suggest that the same Floyd Mayweather Jr. who just spanked a prime Canelo Alvarez a fight prior is in rapid decline simply because he struggled with an aggressive, awkward brawler who wouldn't stop coming.

Khan doesn't deserve a fight with Mayweather and can do nothing for the man's legacy, but if the fight happens, you're going to want a lot more of whatever you're smoking after Floyd smokes Khan.

Let's not get carried away here. Collazo was washed up. This does not mean Khan's not a good fighter, we just dont know. Fight Pacquiao, Bradley, Porter or Thurman before attempting the Mayweather sweepstakes.

I'm not usually a Khan fan, but he did very well last night. If Maidana doesn't get a rematch (which would probably mean Floydie gets KOd), I would say Khan would flat out give Floydie fits in the ring. It would either be a late TKO for Khan or a lopsided UD. I doubt that Floydie will want any part of Khan though, not after this performance. Yeah I know it was just Collazo, but still, he's definitely better at this weight.

Khan needs to give Maidana his rematch!! Beating a painfully shot Collazo does not mean you are ready for Floyd. But hey, if Floyd and Khan fight in Sept (which I doubt since it would interfere with Khan's religious activities) I'll watch. I don't think Khan will be ready, it's still a bit too soon, but hey, he asked for it. I wouldn't mind seeing Maidana vs. Thurman. Even better if that's on the undercard.
