That's not illegal, using forearms to the face is. Maidana doesn't come in with the intention of fighting dirty, but he takes no shit.
This attempt to paint Maidana as a dirty fighter is not accurate. Broner is a dirty fighter, what you saw in that fight is the same thing, Maidana reacting to dirty tactics (holding, elbows etc).

The punches landed on the back of the head because your hero was ducking below the waist, which is illegal in boxing.
Statements like that coming from a Club Fighter like Maidana, and his statements have all the credibility in the world based on how amateur he made Floyd look really puts Floyd into perspective.
