What I've been saying for years......I was a fan of Floyd in his early years, but it was obvious that he wasn't a level above like the public started believing.....his defense first mentality, low output, limited arsenal, small size and lack of power make him very beatable...especially at the higher weights...he is more tricky than amazing..especially when he can lay on the ropes without throwing, get hit with partial shots and get credit for a "more flashy than effective" counter right.

Stop bull****ting, man. Let's call a spade a spade. Floyd does use dirty tactics when he's being rough up on the ropes. A lot of time when Floyd use his forearm is to create space for countering when his opponents push up all their weights on him against the ropes. I'm not sure if Maidana intentionally fights dirty, but his style make it look that way because he focus on bullying his opponents and throws awkwardly without focusing on where he wants to land his punches, he just throws hammer shots and doesn't care about where he lands his punches.

That's not illegal, using forearms to the face is. Maidana doesn't come in with the intention of fighting dirty, but he takes no shit.

This attempt to paint Maidana as a dirty fighter is not accurate. Broner is a dirty fighter, what you saw in that fight is the same thing, Maidana reacting to dirty tactics (holding, elbows etc).
