What specifically was wrong with the glove? You can put it on and determine from the feel that the glove is acceptable or not?

Isn't there QC requirements at the manufacturer? Isn't there a way to measure or test the glove to determine if it passes?

The Everlast CEO said that they can present the paperwork to show the glove was made the exact same as any other MX glove if they're asked to.

He also said:

Morton said the custom gloves are manufactured exactly the same way as the stock gloves and the only difference is a different color of leather is used. He said he is willing to cut the gloves open to prove that to anyone who questions the validity of his claim. He said he didn't understand why the custom gloves were ruled invalid.

However, it could be that the commission was simply trying to broker a deal and placate Mayweather, given that the stock red gloves had been approved.

"Nothing changes in the process from glove to glove," Morton said.
He said that when a fighter such as Maidana wants to wear Everlast gloves in a custom color, leather is found that most closely approximates the color the fighter wants. He said there is what he calls a "tech pack" for each model of glove Everlast produces.

That tech pack has the glove specifications and ensures they're all identical, Morton said.

"The process is very simple," he said. "The athlete says, 'I would like this glove in this color with this artwork on it.' In this case, Maidana wanted to wear an Argentine blue color and I think maybe he wanted them with the flag on it. That, I can't quite remember. But then we put a Pantone color on it, we attach it to our tech pack and we send it to the factory and ask them to produce 6 to 10 pairs of the MX gloves using our tech pack in this Pantone."

You are insinuating a lot here... If FMJ is a A-side bully who even has power to make a commission do stuff they shouldnt be doing, than what the heck were the media doing over there??? trying to get autographs instead of getiing to the bottom of this? Are there precedents that the commission can be influenced?? I thought they just had a new commision in Las vegas. I also heared but i could be wrong that the new guy in charge of the commission was a former fbi dude or something but ones again i could be wrong

There was nothing wrong with the gloves, they were just not package properly due to them being custom painted in the Argentine colours.

The red gloves were exactly the same and we're approved by the commission and they were in the sealed package.

Why was the blue gloves which was the same as the red gloves have less padding in them if they were custom made that way or tampered with? I believe dude tried to cheat. Maidana did good so what is the big fuss about the gloves? Them dudes are cheaters.

So why would the commission not approve the blue gloves but approve the red ones if they were the same? If Floyd has the commission in his pocket like some of you claim on here they why would they approve the red ones then? I would think that they would not approve both pairs.
