Like I posted before. I think Team Maidana burned that bridge of trust. They tried to use illegal gloves you JACK ASS. I'm reading all of you posters getting on Floyd for not letting Maidana use his gloves but not getting on Maidana for trying to pull a fast one. That's why I don't take none of you guys seriously because everything is always one way. Floyd gets ridiculed for taking dude glove away because the first glove was not legit. It's Maidana's fault because if anything Garcia should have known better because he fought before and on top of that, you can tell Maidana plan was to rough Floyd up and hurt him bad for a win because of how he fought, so I'm more than sure that they tried to pull a Resto Margarito.

The only difference in the gloves were the fact that they were painted and out of the packaging. The rep even attests to that fact. They were declared "illegal" because customized gloves were not stipulated in the contract, which is why the second pair of gloves, the identical make and model, were deemed legal. They didn't try to do anything illegal tbh.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with Mayweather dictating what gloves to use and putting it in the contract before hand. I think I do, and others have an issue with him dictating the gloves if the contract has been agreed upon. And, not only after the contract has been agreed upon, but less than 24 hours before the fight. That is BS, & I don't understand why you madaina agreed to it, unless the gave him money under the table

I think I do, and others have an issue with him dictating the gloves if the contract has been agreed upon. you are going way over board I got no problem Mayweather asking a fighter to ware his gloves but lets get this in the contract not go about it the way he did like a no good stinky dirty rat

I think it makes little difference whether he chooses the gloves in the contract, or if he chooses gloves a day before the fight. The result is the same -- champion / A-Side choosing the opponent's glove. It's just a little more annoying for an opponent if it happens last minute.

The annoyance and/or complaints from people on the forum would still be the same even if this WERE in the contract. And you should know that. People still complain about Canelo's catchweight.

Floyd wasn't worried about his health by taking up boxing. I don't understand how Floyd can out rule the Nevada boxing commission. Maidana should have called Floyd's bluff and told them to cancel the fight. Floyd has more to lose.

When oscar fought floyd the law was both guys wear same gloves. They just changed it not to long ago. Miadana should of just wore the grant gloves. They are a good 8oz glove. Hopkins has used them plenty of times
