I had Chino up 4-2 in the first 6 rounds and Floyd up 4-1-1 the last six for a total 115-114. A rematch will be lopsided cause Floyd has adjusted like you've stated. The thing is the other pressure fighters did come in with their head and forearms. Chino fought the best fight he could, fact is Floyd adjusted and a didn't and can't. A rematch would be similar to the Castillo rematch. His reckless aggression was negated and the unpredictability factor is gone for Chino.
I had the first 6 rounds 3-3 and the last 6 rounds 5-1 in favor of Mayweather. You can say 4-2 for Maidana in the first 6 but that's about it. If you watch the with no commentary it will give you more objectivity in my opinion.Comment

... The Protech gloves, maybe? ... And use his regular Everlast MX -- because these are legal puncher's gloves, maybe?

the funny thing is mayweather doesn't want ref tony weeks again in any of his future fights.
mayweather has very limited inside game. his punches seem to come from mid range. he then clinches excessively rather than risk an inside fight. mayweather had to look to the ref to make maidana stop punching
the fight was close, either man could've won by a round or two but that's it. the judge that scored 9-3 rnd was fucking blind

This is one of my favorite Mayweather fights. Both Floyd's haters and fans got to take something away from this fight, and I enjoy the discussion. For me, Mayweather showed he could grind out a tough victory while overcoming adversity, and with his skills in rapid decline. Maidana brought his best performance ever, and it made for a good show. I'm proud of both fighters and wouldn't be opposed to a rematch.Comment

I have nothing against Floyd's boxing style -- it would be ****** to have...This is one of my favorite Mayweather fights. ... But what I have against Floyd is that he didn't allow Maidana to use his regular MX puncher gloves -- this was mighty unfair...Comment

No doubt. Props due but wasn't like Maidana was using pure skill. Dude was roughing Floyd up. He was punching down Mayweather's head and hitting behind his head, low blowing, a knee. That's hard coming from a guy weighing 165 on a guy weighing 148. Not to mention Maidana got caught with illegal gloves. He went in there with a do what you have to do to get the win attitude but no one is crediting Floyd for dealing with the obstacles. I also give props when it is do but most posters on here don't give none to Floyd but call out other posters that do. In a rematch Floyd takes it soundly.Comment

Ill believe it when I see it. Floyd doesnt like punishment and he doesnt want to go through another tough fight like that.LAS VEGAS --- Floyd Mayweather was put to the test like never before and he pulled out a 12-round majority decision over Marcos "El Chino" Maidana.
"Tonight I wanted to fight and give the fans their money's worth," Mayweather said.
There was speculation that this could be Mayweather's last fight, but he said he would grant Maidana a rematch.

But it was fair that Maidana got caught with illegal gloves? He should have been penalized.Comment
