I don't think the ref was firm enough. All throughout the build up to the fight all u heard from team Maidana n Garcia was how dirty and rough they were going to be with Floyd then u had the glove controversy a point should have been taken away as soon as Maidana landed the 2nd foul just to make it clear, it think it would of made for a better fight had Weeks cut the BS out early

If Mayweather wants to keep hi zero he'd best retire right now. Clearly he's not the fighter he once was. He really looked his 37 yrs of age tonight. 5 or 6 yrs ago Maidana wouldn't have touched Floyd. Tonight he came close to beating him. With the heavy handed young Keith Thurman and other hungry welterweights waiting in the wing Floyd would do well to call it a day. Even Khan might beat him if they fight and Khan wouldn't have stood a chance way back then.

Yeah Floyd did look his age tonight regardless of him getting the victory. Its just that Maidana's style is so awkward I feel he would give any welterweight problems. We'll have to wait and see if there will be a rematch. I have a feeling Floyd would do a lot better in that fight though.

I can't give a score for the fight because my stream was freezing every 3 seconds, but I think it is terrible what Floyd did with the gloves. Maidana is not a finesse fighter; he was never going to outbox Floyd. All he really has is his power and Floyd bribed Maidana into abandoning perfectly legal comission-approved gloves in favour of one's that would lessen Maidana's power.
