Another instance of Mayweather showing, its my way or the high way. You have to think tho, is he running scared of Maidana? Think about it, yeah I could be wrong, but his chin has never been tested and never fought a fighter who can hit like Maidana has. He hides his chin extremely well in all fights, but the one thing he has troubles with its the overhand right, which is what Maidana has. Maybe there are some more underlying feelings here than promotion propergander. But as I said, I could be completley wrong.

Planned stunt or not; It is obvious that the fight with paqiou could not be made because of Mayweather; not because of Top Rank or Team Paqiou.
