Floyd's Grant gloves have the padding (different type than horsehair) distributed more closely to the knuckle area, but the amount of padding is the same in both brands, both brands weigh 8oz

It's hard to judge whether the gloves have sufficient padding just by watching a video. I would have to trust the commission of what they think about the situation. If the commission rejected the first pair but accepted the second pair of gloves the Maidana team had then what's the problem? Just go with the second pair? Simple as that I would assume. Since I don't have enough posts to post a video in my comments. On the fighthype youtube page there's a video titled, "EVERLAST REP COMMENTS ON MAIDANA'S GLOVES IN QUESTION FOR MAYWEATHER FIGHT". The rep says the blue pair were rejected but the red pair were approved by the commission.

The blue gloves had the same amount of padding they complained there was less in the knuckle area.
