My only beef with the accusations are where are the failed drug tests? There have been plenty of high profile fighters that have used PED's or other banned substances and have failed and its been made public. If Pacquiao was on the juice then he would have been caught by now IMO.

BH is the one who people think is on something and now BH diverts attention to Pac conveniently? Have people forgotten people like SSM and RJJ were actually found guilty?
Instead they pick on someone who has always been clean. Pac should try to be an underachiever then like his peers.
How about people underestimated Pac as Pac was moving up weight, they thought they could overpower Pac and paid the price for their ignorance. Now people are more wary of Pac and run as Pac has said.
Other boxers giving each other advice on what not to do against Pac. Before the second Bradley fight, people were telling Bradley (as if he didn't already know) not to make it a dog war.Last edited by hugh grant; 05-02-2014, 04:38 AM.

While I don't doubt for a second that Pacquiao is/was a raging juice queen, Soapy is probably more suspect than any other fighter, or even any athlete in sports right now.

- Refusing to take the test in Floyd fight when purse was 50/50
-Never tested untill after KO from a suspected Ped user.
- Increase of 40 % of his body mass from when he started, with out losing speed
Unheard of no other previous boxer has ever done and will likely ever do again
That's just from the top of my head I'm sure if I though about it I could come up with more.
Just because Freddie didn't know what Ariza put in his shakes doesn't mean anything illegal was put in. Freddie is his trainer not his nutritionist. The only way Freddie would know what was in the shakes is if he witnessed Ariza making them every time, otherwise he has no cause to know. Pac and Arizas buisiness is between Pac and Ariza
If you suspect Pac was dirty because he worked with Ariza, that su****ion has to be levelled at anyone Ariza works with and I don't hear anyone saying Maidana or Mikey are dirty because they work with Ariza.
What Teddy Atlas said were rumours just like the Floyd failed 3 times rumour. If you believe one, you should believe the other.
Floyd telling Pac to take the test in my opinion was a power move and Pac/Bob were unwilling to bend. If an NBA/NFL team refused to play another team until they were all tested for PEDs would the opposition simply comply or would they say, 'Who the **** are you to tell us what to do. If the governing body tell us to, no problem, but we don't just do what you tell us to.' I suspect it would be the latter every single time. Also asking someone to submit to extra testing is an insult to that person.
In terms of body mass, there is someone who has done something similar..Floyd.
At 16 Floyd was fighting at 106 pounds, at 16 Pac was also fighting at 106 pounds. The difference was FLoyd was fighting as an amateur and Pac was fighting as a pro so he could eat. That's why Pac was able to go up so many division. He was a poor malnourished 16 year old kid fighting proffesionally and sleeping on his gym floor. Once he got notice and money, his training and nutrition improved drastically. Floyd is also much more muscular than he used to be so they are effectively in the same boat with weight/muscle imrovement.
But to be honest I think most boxers are on some sort of PED. The commissions almost set it up so that it's semi-legal. Don't ask, don't tell kind of mentality. They don't do good enough testing and most people would take advantage of that to get a competitive edge or fight on a level playing field, which ever way you want to look at it.

There is a far, far higher likelihood of Hopkins taking steriods than Pac. A 50 year old sprains a muscle getting out of the bathtub, yet Bernard is still taking out the top guys in the division - very, very su****ious.
I think the chances Hopkins is not on drugs is between 1 and 3%.

Hopkins, of all people, should understand that as you age and change your style your knockouts are typically a casualty of that. One upon a time he was a monster ****ing middleweight who tore dudes up and broke them down physically, then he changed his style and became more defensive minded in his 30s and rarely ever knocked anybody out ever again.
Same is true with Pacquiao. He doesn't fight to wreck dudes anymore, he fights to win decisions. Not to mention the fact that, since moving up, Pacquiao has fought a lot of guys with really tough chins and high durability : Mosley, Margarito, Bradley. Nobody is knocking those dudes out. Ever.
Hopkins is being a bitter **** here who is only talking **** about Pacquiao because of his association with Golden Boy. I'm disappointed as a fan of his.Last edited by ßringer; 05-02-2014, 06:33 AM.

I expect better from Hopkins. He used to be the posterboy for the anti-establishment in boxing and routinely rallied against the idea of promoters, calling them all scumbags and crooks.
Now he's one of them.
