And Fury...don't rate him but we will see...Wilder is unproven.

Let's say Wlad beat all these guys convincingly...I can guarantee a lot of people here will call them garbage/bums.

Also, I don't rate Povetkin at all...but I think even that win is a better one than any of those other three have on their resume ATM.
Probably not. But is that the point?

So if I don't think they can beat Wlad, does that give Wlad a free pass to fight guys ranked below the top 20? That just doesn't make sense to me.

I don't rate Povetkin either, and thankfully I made that clear before Wlad fought him, but he's quite clearly a level above guys like Pianeta or Leapai, so I give Wlad his dues for that win. Not as many dues as I'd give him if he'd beat him in a fair way.

I want Wlad to fight the better challengers, obviously. Better to fight them and beat them to remove doubt, rather than leave discussion. I just know many will call them bums afterwards...it's going to be just like before Povetkin when a lot were pushing for that to be made...this build-up actually works in his favour to build popularity for those big fights...just a shame his tune-up guys are not of good quality because they aren't available.

I certainly think if Wlad was to go on a run of the top 10-15 and beat 5-6 guys, then he'd definitely get probs for fighting them.

However, that's not going to make them better than they are. They are decent at best, there's no one out there who is genuinely world class imo,

Joshua and young Fury can maybe become world class in a couple of years. Same with Jennings. But other than that, no one really.

I think Leapai is the worst, watching him fight he just has nothing to hang his hat on, Wach is at least very tough Pianeta man it is tough to pick between him an Leapai.

That is a sorry list of recent opposition, but the reason I never talk smack about Wlad because of it is who is there really out there for him to fight. I have no problem with him staying busy, but the funny thing is in all this time exactly 0 guys have done anything to separate them self from the riff-raff of the division. So Wlad really has done the right thing not waiting around for that guy, the problem is that guys does not even exist even after a year+ of messing around.

Sucks for Wlad I hope some guys start to come up.

Whilst I agree that no one really sets themselves apart with great victories against other top opposition, it doesn't excuse a fight against a Mormeck, Leapai or Pianeta or whatever they are called.

Much better opposition could be given an opportunity if Wlad wanted to give them a decent offer.

He could do better sure, but I don't think it really makes much of a difference if he beat those scrubs or someone who is marginally better. Also while I think he could have fought better opposition than than lot (which is a really low bar), I don't know if I would go as far to call them much better.

I need someone to set them self apart before I worry about Wlad facing them, at least a bit.

I do hope he fights Pulev next even though I think he doesn't stand much of a chance, Pulev is the one guy that put in some work at heavy although his last couple fights were both steps back.

It took Grabimir 23 rounds to clinch and beat these bums.

These should have been 1st round KOs all of them.

Maybe except for Wach, he could take a good punch.

Worst ? probably Leapai but I voted Pianeta as Leapai was a mandatory.yet Pianeta was a good sell on home territory,he was a well repsected name I Germany.Wlad rather than sit idle, elected to stay busy.

The same people ridiculing Wlad for facing Mormeck,Wach,Leapai etc are the same guys who laughed and baulked at him having to defend against Thompson.now Thompson has beat the British oaf twice all of a sudden he isnt a bum ! double sandards no ?

Folk on here would have you belive Wlad should vacate.it is only butthurt due to the fact he retains all these belts why they want him to drop them.simply they cant bare to witness what will undoubtedly be the a record setting haul of defences which will ultimately surpass the great Joe Louis.in time Wladimir will be bestowed the same tile 'great'.

Wach was a late replacement for Arreola if I recall correctly, the fight was also offered to Fury too, which we know he rebuffed for some unbeknown reason.
