i think mayweather would have been alot less braver and alot more smarter and stayed away in the late rounds to win a un decision

It's a toss up in my opinion.

Chavez was a stronger, scarier, more complete Castillo...but that doesn't mean everything.

I think both guys in their best forms at 135 or 140 are a pretty even fight, but I'd lean towards Chavez grinding Mayweather down and possibly stopping him late.

Well Jose Luis Castillo gave Floyd all he could handle and I had him winning the first fight cuz the second one floyd won. Chavez being a much better version of Castillo would have easily beaten Floyd. Though I do believe floyd would have had his moments he does not have the punching power that would stop a prime chavez, and if floyd fights Margarito he is going get thrashed.

I think it would have been a good fight, with chavez timing floyd's jab like he did his uncle's in their first fight and reigning in those lead right hands. Floyd is too strong to be stopped early though, so i think chavez wears him down with lead rights to the head and body punching before finally stopping him in the 9th.

Like Old Gringo said it isnt automatically a given, but castillo has molded his fighting as close to Chavez as he can, and he gave Floyd the toughest 24 rounds of his career.

Chavez was a smarter, fighter, he also had quicker hands, and was simply better offensively and defensively than Castillo.

Chavez was beaten by Tzysu and Dela Hoya, and Mayweather would beat both of them..
